Tourism Northern Ireland (Tourism NI) is responsible for marketing Northern Ireland as a tourist destination in the Northern Ireland (NI) and Republic of Ireland (ROI) markets. A key part of this marketing activity requires the implementation of a series of advertising campaigns in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Tourism NI requires a suitably experienced research provider to evaluate its promotional campaigns over the next 3 years in the NI and ROI markets. Tourism Northern Ireland (TNI) is responsible for the development of tourism and the marketing of Northern Ireland as a tourist destination to domestic tourists, from within Northern Ireland, and to visitors from the Republic of Ireland. Underpinning Tourism NI’s key priorities is a Transformation Programme, including an organisation restructure and the ongoing development of a secure, cloud-based IT infrastructure. Tourism NI wish to procure a contract for the support, maintenance, licencing and development of our current corporate and industry website, tourismni.com. The website requires to operate on Optimizely (previously Episerver) Content Management System (CMS) and requires full integration with Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and software applications to deliver the functionality as detailed in this specification. TNI would like to procure a platform-as-a-service with out of the box functionality that only requires implementation and training to empower Tourism NI staff to utilise this functionality. Tourism NI procured a contract to deliver a Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) eTourism solution to support its tourism development, including consumer, travel trade and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) markets. As the level of support for the original contract was severely underestimated, Tourism NI require a modification of the contract value to deliver the required additional development, required technical fixes or amends for the key consumer facing discovernorthernireland.com.
Tourism NI wish to appoint a Supplier to carry out a programme of industry research. As a core requirement Tourism NI envisage a minimum of one tourism barometer survey each year with a broadly representative sample of Northern Ireland’s tourism industry to provide an insight into year-to-date tourism performance and outlook for the remainder of the year. Additional be-spoke ad hoc industry surveys and research projects on a range of industry wide or sector specific topics may also be required including for example; evaluation surveys for industry support programmes and key Business to Business trade events, including business conferences surveys, These additional surveys and other projects, such as quick turnaround surveys and qualitative in-depth interviews/ industry focus groups will be ad-hoc, demand-led and budget dependent.
