Tendring District Council are aiming to secure a reliable, suitably qualified, licensed and efficient partner who will be responsible for the administrative management, timely collection and disposal of household clinical waste from domestic households within the district of Tendring.
This service is a critical component of the TDC's paid-for clinical waste collection; the existing contract expires on 31 December 2025. The service is statutory under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and relates to the safe handling, collection, and disposal of hazardous clinical waste from residential households.

Description of the scope of works:
Supply and install new solar panels to the roof of the existing Sunspot building, inclusive of new associated inverters and battery storage, and building work in connection with including fire stopping.

The Essex Procurement Partnership (EPP), on behalf of Tendring District Council (TDC) is looking to procure a service for the provision of Waste Collection & Disposal to 3 Leisure Centres in the district.
The contract is expected to start on 1 April 2026, with a duration of 3 years with an optional extension of 1 + 1 Year.
This service is a critical component of TDC's paid-for waste collection; the existing contract expires on 31st March 2026. This procurement exercise will include 3 locations:
- Clacton Leisure Centre, CO15 6DB
- Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles, CO12 3TA
- Walton-on-the-Naze Lifestyle, CO14 8PZ
The waste disposal will encompass several elements:
- Bulk General Waste (Inc. Food waste)
- Washroom Waste (Sanitary Waste, Nappies, Sharps, Hazardous)
- Dry Mixed Recycling Waste
Each sites needs are different and suppliers are advised to ensure they understand the need of each sites waste disposal and facilitation requirements .
The contract will include the provision of bins by the supplier, collection and disposal.
There are currently days scheduled for collection, and suppliers are expected to liaise with the leisure centres upon award of the contract to ensure a smooth transition of services within the mobilisation period.

These two standalone projects form part of £60M overall funding secured to deliver regeneration projects to the Tendring District. The sites are located at (i) Milton Road and (ii) Victoria Street, Dovercourt, Essex. Both projects already have planning permission and are at RIBA stage 3.
Milton Road project: construction project to demolish an out-of-date multi storey car park and create a modern, ground-level parking area with EV charge points.
Victoria Street project: construction project to convert two derelict sites to (i) social housing and (ii) dedicated parking spaces for residents.

The Authority (Tendring District Council) is seeking to refurbish a group of 1930s-1950s seafront buildings-comprising a former Beach Patrol and Public Conveniences block, a covered shelter, and a small hut-located within a designated Conservation Area. The structures are currently in varying states of disrepair but remain broadly structurally sound.
The project aims to transform these buildings into a new Seafront Micro Venue offering high‑quality cultural and community space. Works will include building fabric repairs, internal reconfiguration, full M&E upgrades, and conservation‑sensitive refurbishment to create a modern, accessible public venue while retaining key heritage character.
For the provision of electrical services covering all Council offices, street lights, and beach huts. There is an ongoing investigation into potentially additional requirements which all cover all the Council requirements.
The purpose of the procurement is to provide security services for the whole of the council including providing staff at council meetings, events, asset monitoring, evictions and locking and unlocking of buildings. Service must cover all times of the day including weekends and bank holidays.
Tendring District Council, supported by Essex County Council, is seeking to engage with the market regarding a programme of specialist enabling works for Martello Tower E, a Grade II Listed and Scheduled Monument located on the seafront at Clacton‑on‑Sea.
Martello Tower E forms part of a wider community regeneration programme aimed at conserving historic coastal defence structures and sensitively repurposing them for future community and cultural use.
The enabling‑works package is focused on addressing urgent building condition issues, stabilising the historic fabric, and preparing the structure for future redevelopment. Works will include (not necessarily in this sequence)
Erection of a full protective portal‑frame enclosure ("The Box") to permit building drying‑out and safe access/security
Lifting, numbering, recording, and secure on‑site (within "The Box") storage of heritage stone elements (copings, gundeck slabs, timber floor components
Installation of UKPN power supply, task lighting, potentially dehumidification systems, extract fans, and background heating
Ground floor exposure works, including careful removal of mastic asphalt and fill to reveal historic brick vaults
