North Star is looking for a principal contractor to manage and oversee contracts for Responsive Repairs and Void Maintenance. Background - North Star is not a direct labour organisation and as such all works are completed by third party contractors. Our current responsive maintenance contract is operated in a traditional way but North Star are looking to redefine our approach to repairs and are looking for innovative ideas to improve our service offering. Specification Documents have been provided to act as a basic guide to the basis of the works required but there are some areas that are open for negotiation. For clarity we are looking to award to one sole contractor to operate both of these contracts and are not looking to split them into separate lots. Whilst the tender will be used as a basis for future works and pricing, the Trust are looking to engage suppliers who will work collaboratively with us and tailor their approach, so that they are able to meet the specific needs of the Trust's portfolio of assets. This procurement also seeks to ensure that value for money is achieved, and that the Trust's LEV & extraction systems management is run in an efficient and consistent manner across the entire estate. The framework will run for a period of four years and successful tenderers will remain on the contract for this period subject to performance and company stability (i.e. the company not going into administration). The tender is split into four lots to cover the five regions where the Star schools are located, these are: 1. North West 2. West Yorkshire 3. West Midlands 4. London Up to four successful tenderers will be awarded onto each lot framework. Tenderers are welcome to bid for any number of lots they deem appropriate. North Star are currently in the process of carrying out full fire door assessments across all of our eligible properties. These surveys are well underway, and we are now able to start the remedial / replacement works needed to bring them up to standard. This is a new opportunity from North Star so for the right partner it would also be an opportunity to work with us to develop our long-term replacement strategy for all Fire Door Replacements. The first batch of surveys have now been completed, a sample of these have been provided as part of this tender pack, please see Appendix J-1 to Appendix J-12. We are looking for partners who have expertise in this area with fitters who are competent and have undergone the correct installation training. All works need to be completed to a high standard and doors fully certified upon completion to BS 476-22:1987 or BN EN 1634-1:2014. Star Academies (Star) are looking to procure a preferred supplier for the outsourcing of Bay Leadership Academy’s wet (swimming pool) and dry (3G pitch plus indoor sports hall) facilities. The provider will be responsible for the full running, security and utilisation of these facilities, but will work with the school to ensure its financial viability for both parties.Please note there is a site visit planned for Monday 26th September.
