Rushmoor Borough Council - the 'council' - is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to undertake a major refurbishment of Aldershot Crematorium on a traditional works procurement basis with specific contractor's design portion elements. This will include for co-ordination with the council's appointed supplier of cremation equipment (Facultatieve Technologies - FT) during the period of the works. The council is currently at RIBA stage 4. Aldershot Crematorium is currently open for services five days a week, (Monday to Friday), and holds around 1,500 cremations a year (6 a day). However, service numbers have fallen in recent years and, whilst there are a number of factors that have contributed to this decline, the Council anticipate that extensive refurbishment of the building and the provision of two fully functional cremators, will help address this position. The council is targeting to have awarded the contract by 29th January 2024 to allow for commencement by mid-March 2024 and with the crematorium re-opening post works by the end of November 2024. During the refurbishment process, services will be held off-site at a nearby chapel, however, cremations will continue to take place at Aldershot Crematorium. Building works must be undertaken in a manner which ensures that there is at least one fully functional cremator available and accessible on site at all times. The estimated value of the works is £2,800,000 (excluding VAT). Rushmoor Borough Council - the 'Council' - is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Operators for the management of its existing Aldershot Pools & Lido, and a proposed new Passivhaus certified Farnborough Leisure and Cultural Hub which is scheduled to open in Spring 2027.The Council is targeting appointment of the successful Operator by June 2024. The contract will be split into two distinct phases: (i)the Interim Phase, during which the Operator will manage the Aldershot facility and provide pre-opening services in relation to Farnborough, and (ii)the Main Phase, during which the Operator will fully operate both facilities. The Interim Phase of the Contract will commence on 1st October 2024. The Council's target date for opening of the new Leisure and Cultural Hub facility is spring 2027. The annual estimated value of the Contract in respect of turnover generation for the Interim Period is in the range of £1m to £1.5m. Rushmoor Borough Council ('the Council') is inviting tenders from suitably qualified demolition contractors for the demolition of Pinehurst Car Park, a double storey reinforced concrete car park situated within a roundabout between the A325 on the east and the A327 on the west. The car park is to be demolished to allow for new road infrastructure as part of a wider Civic Quarter development. Pinehurst car park is situated within a roundabout. It's crucial to maintain the surrounding roads' functionality throughout the project. Demolition activities must prioritise the preservation of these roadways, avoiding any harm resulting from extensive ground activity. The car park is a largely independent structure. The only areas that will require extra attention are the retaining walls on the northeast and south east elevation of the car park that require to be retained to support the road embankment. It is noted that the existing road infrastructure, subways and the independent brick retaining walls that support the road embankments are all to be retained as part of this demolition. The works value is estimated at approximately between £600,000 to £700,000. The contract will be let using the JCT Design and Build contract 2016 Edition.
