The successful respondent will work collaboratively with Ordnance Survey (OS) and the Geovation team to:
Build components and blocks to support within a new CMS solution, incorporating Geovation's UX, accessibility and
design guidelines
Support the migration from the existing CMS provider to the new CMS solution.
Support the creation of a new website and pages through advice and training on how to use the new CMS system
Enable the deployment the new website to services or infrastructure managed by the supplier on behalf of OS.
Support & maintain the CMS and website on an on-going basis

As such we are looking to engage with a third party to carry out the checks on our behalf as part of our onboarding/pre-employment stages. It is important that the process is seamless and provides a positive experience for OS and the candidate, fundamentally ensuring we are able to employ the candidate within the timescales.

In order to collect change to update and maintain our databases and products, intelligence on new or amended features is essential. OS is looking at further improving intelligence sources for road routing features. Intelligence referring to these features is essential for the update and maintenance of OS products.
Ordnance Survey is the national mapping agency of Great Britain, capturing the latest changes in the landscape to update our large-scale map data. This data shows houses, garages and many other features, such as fences and hedges, in great detail. One of the methods used in capturing the latest changes is the use of aerial imagery from drones.
Ordnance Survey is increasing the existing fleet of drones with the purchase of up to 10 DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Platforms to be called off over the contract term and the purchase of one refurbished DJI Phantom 4 RTK. There shall be no exclusivity for the supply of drones under this contract.
Ordnance Survey require a provider to supply of a range of Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing for the Field Surveying Services teams which include Production Managers, Field Surveyors and Data Collectors. Ordnance Survey's Field Surveying Services workforce consists of approximately 240 staff, all of whom are required to operate, to various degrees, in a variety of environments. OS Field Surveyors and Data Collectors work outdoors, in all weathers and seasons, on active construction sites, by highways and in other urban and in rural environments. Whilst not involved in physical construction activities, they conduct topographic surveys, often during the construction phase of new developments, to capture manmade (and natural) changes in the real world and update our map database.
OS require a provider to supply of a range of Personal Protective Equipment, as an additional mitigating factor, to reduce risk when OS staff are working in these environments. These items will be split into "core items" that OS would expect all staff to require, that OS would consider a priority, as well as a number of additional items. OS require products to be available for staff, as and when required by the individual's needs. The provision is required to be in a timely manner so that OS can provide the required PPE to staff promptly, avoiding delays in providing them with important safety equipment.
Ordnance Survey (OS) has appointed an external Supplier to help OS, design and implement a new data governance operating model to provide the controls, processes, and ways of working to meet more complex requirements for our geospatial information. This is to include a focus on interoperability to ensure OS' location data can be integrated within virtual data infrastructures to empower automated decision-making and analytics.
The work is to be completed by the Supplier across two stages which are:
o Stage 1 - Identify and recommend a data governance operating model and roadmap to this operating model for OS. Stage 1 will involve the following parts:
- Part 1 - Initial assessment to identify current OS data governance maturity.
- Part 2 - Compare OS's existing data governance model with applicable data governance frameworks OS could adopt and provide a recommendation.
- Part 3 - Develop and design a data governance operating model and roadmap to this operating model for OS.
- Part 4 - Propose a costed plan for the implementation of the data governance operating model in line with agreed stakeholder requirements from Parts 1 to 3 above.
o Stage 2 - Support the execution of an implementation plan for the data governance and operating model for OS that is iterative and scalable.
The Supplier will be awarded a contract to support with Stage 1 of the scope outlined above. Following the completion of Stage 1, the Supplier will be invited to submit a cost to support OS with Stage 2 of the scope outlined above. OS reserves the right to either extend the delivery of the Services to the Supplier to support with Stage 2 or to not extend the Services to the Supplier to support with Stage 2 and seek an alternative approach for implementing the data governance and operating model. OS does not provide any assurance to the Supplier that the Supplier will be engaged to deliver Stage 2 of the Services. The decision for the Supplier to support on Stage 2 will be at the sole discretion of OS. Stage 1 of the Services will commence in April 2024.
The value of Stage 1 is ?148,400. The overall total contract value (if Stage 2 was to be agreed) has been set at a maximum value of up to ?450,000. This total contract value is not guaranteed.
Ordnance Survey is appointing a Contractor to provide refurbishment of leased office space used by OS at Sutton Yard, 65 Goswell Road, London, EC1V 7EN, United Kingdom.
The scope of the work is to undertake the refurbishment to deliver the space and layout including the supply of materials and furniture. The Contractor will be required to provide all labour and ensure that the labour is qualified to complete the refurbishment to meet the standards expected by OS, the Landlord and in line with all UK legislation.
The Refurbishment is to be completed between December 2023 and January 2024.

This requirement is for the provision for Vehicle Lease and Fleet Management services of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Ordnance Survey have a current fleet of approx. 250-300 vehicles and would anticipate reordering these vehicles over the coming 4 years in accordance with the fleet cycle.
In accordance with the UK Government's target to 'Electrify' 100% of its fleet by 2027, Ordnance Survey will be transitioning to a fully electric fleet at the end of each vehicles current lease. The Supplier must have the capability to source a comprehensive range of full electric vehicles with 0g CO2/Km emissions.
The Ordnance Survey Business User Scheme (BUS) provides Employees with a vehicle that is fit for purpose, environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Employees travelling or expected to travel in their job for business each year must use a leased vehicle. Drivers are permitted to use their vehicle for business and private use. Each Driver is permitted to a total of 16,000 miles per annum with mileage pooling and rebates provided by the Supplier.

To help deliver the marketing and communications plans the multimedia team require external support through an experienced video and editing professional. Through the contract we require expertise in a range of areas covering filming, editing, sound and graphics. A significant percentage of the work will be from OS's head office in Southampton, although there will be requirements to travel across Great Britain.
OS are looking to appoint an agile, multi-skilled team or individual, to deliver audio visual content on a weekly basis for Ordnance Survey up to a maximum of 10 days in every month.
The range of production skills required includes high professional quality lighting of interior spaces for office-based interviews, through to shooting. managing and delivering content on location film assignments. The ability to engage with OS employees, and with external guests by which to deliver their best performances and create thought provoking actuality is highly desirable.
The required skills include video shooting producer/director expertise, through to first class editing skills. Types of AV content produced include 3-6-minute case studies, clips for social use, filming presentations and recording podcasts.

This contract we are looking for the potential bidder to have links to authors, who can walk the routes and provide content for the guidebooks. The bidder will also carry out all the design work to meet our current design specification, supplying the final design file, to enable the guidebooks to be printed.
