Horley Town Council is inviting early engagement from RIBA qualified architects to manage a proposed small, single storey office extension to the town council offices. It is expected that a tender for this service will be posted on Contracts Finder later this year.
At this stage we are testing the market to gauge market interest.
Works will comprise interpretation of drawings, installation of new windows, car parking extension, solar panels and battery storage, new EV charging points and the requirement to prepare a planning application. Internal works will (but not restricted exclusively to) require demolition of some existing internal walls and modifications to existing plumbing, drainage, heating, lighting and electrical systems. Internal finishes including ceilings and dry lining of walls , installation of cupboards and units, final decoration. The role will include on site management of all labour and supply of all materials.
It is the intention of Horley Town Council to conduct an open tender for its grounds maintenance contract. This is a prior information notice and further detailed information will be published on Contracts Finder in June 2023. Information will also be posted on the council's website www.horleysurrey-tc.gov.uk. The contract will be offered for 3 years plus an option for 2 additional years from 1 January 2024. Contract specifications will include Grass Cutting, Hedge Cutting, Football Pitch Preparation, Litter & Dog Faeces Collection, Minor Tree Works, Drains & Ditches, Tennis Courts & Hard Surfaces, Shrub Beds & Borders. Horley Town Council is planning to upgrade its CCTV surveillance systems in 2 of its recreation grounds later this year. Contractors are advised of this future opportunity and invited to provide for the supply and installation and ongoing maintenance at the following locations:

All surveillance equipment will require annual maintenance plus emergency call out within reasonable time response. For these reasons the council will prefer to appoint an operator within 30 miles of the 2 sites.
The Town Council has set a guideline estimate of £18,000 ex VAT to supply and install the required equipment. All equipment fitted must follow the latest government advice and regulations. Contractors are additionally invited to provide annual maintenance costs.

Horley Town Council is seeking quotes to replace 25 ceiling height wooden framed windows to PVC at our Innes Pavilion single-story sports changing rooms situated at Court Lodge Fields, Thornton Close, Horley, RH6 7HZ. The majority of the windows are non-openable, with approximately 3-4 louvre-type windows.
The building is split into 3 sections, male changing rooms, female changing rooms and the central area is rented out to a martial arts dojo studio.
