The Dental Deanery in HEIW supports postgraduate education and training for the whole dental workforce in Wales. This includes Dental Foundation, Dental Core and Dental Specialty training for Dentists, Dental Foundation for Therapists and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for all dental team members as defined by the General Dental Council (GDC) . The Dental Postgraduate Section of HEIW are seeking to commission speakers to deliver the education and training of Dental Foundation and Core trainees and all dental team members across Wales. The Dental Postgraduate Section are seeking speakers to deliver: Dental Foundation Training; Dental Core Training; Welsh Dental Therapy Foundation Training; Continuing Professional Development; and Performers List Validation by Experience.

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking to appoint an experienced supplier to co-design, implement, and deliver the Graduate Programme Assessment Centre 2026 as part of the NHS Wales General Management Graduate Programme, a key priority within HEIW’s Integrated Medium Term Plan. The programme aims to develop a sustainable and inclusive pipeline of future NHS leaders to meet the evolving needs of the Welsh population and public services. The appointed provider will work collaboratively with HEIW to design bespoke assessment exercises aligned to the national NHS Wales Success Profile, deliver a robust digital situational judgement tool, plan and facilitate a hybrid (virtual and/or face-to-face) assessment centre, and provide comprehensive training and reusable branded materials for assessors. The solution must be evidence-based, fully inclusive, accessible, and compliant with equality legislation and Welsh Language Standards, ensuring fairness and transparency throughout. This procurement will support HEIW’s statutory workforce planning obligations and long-term strategy to develop leadership capacity across NHS Wales, directly contributing to national health priorities such as A Healthier Wales and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act.

Leadership Effectiveness Combination Assessment Services may include full or self-service assessment delivery, expert practitioner feedback, coaching, workshop facilitation, and practitioner training or accreditation. The framework will run for three years, with the option to extend for a fourth year, and will be divided into themed Lots. There is no guaranteed value or volume of work. Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) has undertaken a strategic review of health professional education and training across NHS Wales. HEIW commissions both pre-registration and post-registration qualifications for the NHS Wales workforce. HEIW identified a requirement to procure a framework agreement for the provision of work based learning qualification development, including individual units/modules or qualifications at education levels from Entry Level 1 to Level 8. Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced training providers for the delivery of high‑quality generic training courses to support the continued professional development of Staff and Associate Specialist (SAS) doctors across Wales. The contract will include the delivery of programmes in key development areas such as conflict resolution, AI in medicine, active bystander training, leadership and management, advanced communication skills, medical ethics and law, making a business case, and wellbeing and self‑compassion. These courses are intended to equip SAS doctors with the knowledge, competencies and professional skills required to support their career progression—particularly in working towards eligibility for the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register and future consultant‑level roles within NHS Wales.

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking the provision of full time health professional education and training services for pre-registration nursing in adult and mental health (BSc/BN/PGDip/MSc) within South East Wales

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking training providers to deliver two Medical Emergency Life Support training courses for NHS dental professionals across Wales. The appointed providers will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, standardised training aligned with Resuscitation Council UK guidance and General Dental Council CPD requirements. Training will take place across dental practices and clinics within the five NHS Health Boards in Wales, with one supplier appointed per lot and no restriction on the number of lots a bidder can apply for. The requirement includes an in‑practice Life Support course supported by a mandatory online module, and a second course delivered in postgraduate centres, each with defined delegate capacities and specific learning objectives. Providers must supply appropriately qualified trainers, adhere to HEIW documentation and quality‑assurance processes, and ensure full compliance with information governance, data protection, and social value obligations. The contract will run for an initial 12‑month period, with options to extend for up to 24 further months subject to performance and funding. This Agreement is non‑committal and does not guarantee any maximum level of spend. Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) will engage with suppliers on a call-off basis, as and when a requirement arises. The total contract value for 3 years is £315,000 ex VAT.

Multi provider Open Framework for various levels of specialist mental health intervention education and training (credit and non credit bearing) that is reflective of current mental health practice in Wales, for staff employed in health care. The Framework will be opened biennially (being once every two years) to allow new entrants to the market to seek appointment onto the Framework. Initial Term - the first delivery of the Programme(s) shall commence from the services commencement date on 1st September 2027 and expire 31st August 2032.
