NOTE: This notice was updated on 13 July 2023 for the following reason: This tender has not been awarded and withdrawn. We will review and reduce our requirement and issue an ITQ for the reduced workload.(The contract has two phases. The first phase is the design and installation of a replacement air conditioning system to our Bristol office. The second is maintenance and servicing of the newly installed system along with other mechanical and electrical infrastructure on site. The works are replacement of the air conditioning system at our Bristol office with a new VRV system. The existing chiller has failed multiple times and spare parts are getting difficult to source. It is therefore proposed to change the four-pipe unit with multiple VRV units covering the building in zones. The works include replacement of the existing air conditioning system and integration of the new system into the existing air handling unit (AHU). There is also a requirement to replacement the BMS system which is no longer supported by the existing manufacturers who has ceased trading. We expect the construction works to be delivered by 25th September 2023. We expect the works to be phased with the building in part occupation during the works. The servicing and maintenance, operational phase to commence at completion of the construction works and then continue yearly for 4 years with an option for a further two one year extensions. Full details are in the Scope.) Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

Forest Research is seeking quotations for the development and production of up to three 'mini-explainers' (within a £30k budget) in accordance with the attached Request for Quotation. The Defra (Nature Climate Fund) funded Trees Outside of Woodlands (ToW) project is focused on identifying and measuring the social and cultural values that the general public and specific publics associate with non-urban trees outside of woodland (peri-urban and rural ToW or ToWPUR), including (but not limited to) hedgerows, scrub, wood pasture, orchards, copses, groves, linear treelines, greenways/ holloways, and lone trees. The arts and humanities inevitably play a role in how different publics perceive, think about and value ToWPUR; whether specific (experienced) ToWPUR or abstract (imagined) ToWPUR. For this project we are considering 'values' in the broadest sense of the term - embracing anything which helps us to understand what attributes of ToWPUR are valued by people. For example, consideration of allied terms such as 'care', 'moral attitude towards', 'stewardship', or 'perceptions' could be helpful. We are looking to commission up to three mini-explainers, each of which will explore a different aspect of ToWPUR from an arts and humanities perspective. We expect these will take the form of a literature review and/or an in-depth thematic exploration. These will be used internally by the project team and published on the Forest Research website, where they will be publicly available. Additional information: Please express your interest in this RFQ in order to help us to notify you of any questions we may receive and the answers given
