This contract is for supply and installation, including associated structural or architectural input as required.
Provision of full contract lift crane services for the purpose of deploying approximately 3,850 metres of vacuum insulated tubing (VIT) in the deep geothermal well EG-1 at the Eden Project, Cornwall.

The successful contractor will supply fully certified mobile cranes, together with a qualified and certified Crane Operator, Appointed Person and Lift Supervisor and if required a Slinger/Signaller, to undertake planning the lift (including a lift plan), assessing the site conditions, selecting a suitable crane, designating an Appointed Person, supervising the lift, arranging the slinging and signalling and provision of risk assessments and method statements.

The successful contractor will be able to supply:
1: A certified mobile crane, or tower crane, in the range 650 - 800 tonnes, and associated personnel, for this purpose that will primarily include, but not be limited to:
--Lifting and running down hole a 3,350 metres of 5½" VIT plus 500 metres of 7" tubing and related components and equipment.
--Anticipated period 5 - 7 days
2: A certified mobile crane in the range 50 - 70 tonnes, and associated personnel, for this purpose that will primarily include, but not be limited to:
--Suspending tubular running equipment (hydraulic tongs, etc)
--Anticipated period of 5 - 7 days
3: A certified mobile crane, in the range 90 - 150 tonnes, and associated personnel, for this purpose that will primarily include, but not be limited to:
--Lifting and running a submersible pump, 300 metres of 5" steel tubing, cable and components.
--Anticipated period 2 days

There may be a requirement at a later date for the VIT and associated equipment to be removed from the well, but this will be arranged separately if required.
Manufacture of a well head base structure for the purpose of supporting approximately 4,000 metres of vacuum insulated tubing (VIT) in the deep geothermal well EG-1 at the Eden Deep Geothermal site, Eden Project, Bodelva, Par, Cornwall. This well head and the tubing it supports are to be used as part of a coaxial heating system to deliver hot water from the well to the Eden Project. The tubing is scheduled to be run in early 2023.
The successful contractor will supply and deliver the base structure as described in the specification and engineering drawings in the ITT documents.

Supply of a suitable electric submersible pump to be installed within the top of a coaxial system that is due to be installed in the deep geothermal well EG-1 at the Eden Project. The pump will be attached to 3½" EUE tubing and installed at a depth of approximately 250-300 metres within 7" tubing and will be used to extract hot water from the tubing, which is open-ended and runs to a depth of ~3,800 metres.

The coaxial tubing is scheduled to be run in early February 2023 and we wish the pump to be installed simultaneously or as soon as possible thereafter, with the aim to commence production of hot water by spring 2023.

The successful contractor will supply and deliver the submersible pump as described in the specification in the tender documents, and will send an engineer to supervise installation and commissioning.
