Dumfries and Galloway Council has a legal statutory duty under Part II of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 – Homelessness Provisions (as amended, substituted or supplemented from time to time) to provide temporary accommodation to people who are homeless. This opportunity is for the provision of self-contained suitable accommodation with housing support within the Dumfries & Galloway Region to enable the Purchaser to provide interim accommodation for adults (16+) experiencing homelessness and requiring access to support services to assist them in sustaining temporary accommodation and in the move on to more permanent accommodation. There will also be a requirement to provide a unit of accommodation for the purposes of providing out of hours emergency accommodation for those persons presenting as homeless out with normal office hours (i.e. 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday).
Multiply is an adult numeracy programme, which will support people with no or low-level maths skills get back into work. The scheme will offer free personal tutoring, digital training, and flexible courses to improve adults’ numeracy skills.
Under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund predefined interventions, outputs and outcomes for the Multiply Programme, Dumfries and Galloway Council is looking to put in place a multi-Lot flexible framework.
This tender process is for participation in the Contract for a fully comprehensive contract to carry out Electrical Repair & New Works, which also incorporates an element of Servicing to Fan Convectors, Emergency Lights and Kitchen Fans & Lights within schools and other council buildings throughout Dumfries and Galloway.

This contract will provide Dumfries and Galloway with Contractors certified and qualified to Electrical Repairs and New Works.
The Contract will be divided into four individual lots by geographical area. Dumfries and Galloway Council’s preference is that a Contractor can only win 3 of the 4 available Lots/areas.

The Council are seeking offers from suitably licenced service providers to receive, treat and/or dispose of a number of resource streams with a view to managing them in accordance with the waste hierarchy.

Creative placemaking is defined as support to community-led engagement which incorporates creative activity to facilitate positive change for people and the places they live.
Dumfries and Galloway Council are looking to establish a framework for creative placemaking providers to enable a compliant route to appointing services to support communities to engage local people over a range of topics.
Dumfries and Galloway Council are looking to establish a Flexible Framework solution for Employability Support Services across Dumfries and Galloway Region.
The Council has a statutory duty to make pre-school education available for eligible children under the Standards in Scotland’s Schools Act 2000. The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 and Statutory Guidance set out the increased entitlement to 1140 hours for eligible children which became a statutory duty from August 2021.
The Funding Follows the Child approach places choice in parents’ and carers’ hands enabling them to access their child’s funded entitlement with a provider that best suits their needs. To provide Early Learning and Childcare and/or Brokerage Services on behalf of the Council all existing and prospective providers should register their interest through this PIN on Public Contracts (Scotland) and will then need to apply for a place on the Early Learning and Childcare and Brokerage Services Flexible Framework in Autumn 2022.
All providers who apply and meet the expected standard, legislation and the Council's procedural requirements as set out in the Invitation to Tender and accept the rates and contract terms set out by the Council shall be accepted to deliver funded provision through the Flexible Framework enabling them to register children in January 2023 to commence Brokerage placements from January 2023 and funded Early Learning and Childcare placements from August 2023.

This service is to increase the employability of people in Dumfries and Galloway through improving the capacity, scope, and influence of third sector provision in the region in line with Dumfries and Galloway Local Employability & Skills Partnership (LEP) vision and objective.
