Derbyshire Dales District Council (The Council) is seeking a concessionaire to provide and operate a safe, welcoming and friendly children's funfair every Saturday and Sunday during the period of the Matlock Bath Illuminations which takes place annually during September and October. The 2024 event dates are 7 September to 27 October. The event dates for the subsequent years shall be provided to the concessionaire at a later date.
Matlock Bath Illuminations is a family event which operates in Derwent Gardens located in Matlock Bath, the event sells approximately 45,000 tickets during the season (dependant on weather conditions), with a maximum capacity of 4500 per evening.
This contract is being let as a concession arrangement, for which the Concessionaire shall offer a fixed concession fee to the Council as part of the tender response.
The initial contract period is 3 years and 3 months; the contract is estimated to commence 19 August 2024 and expire 7 November 2027.
There will be an option to extend the contract for 2 years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs.

The Council is seeking a supplier to undertake the most cost-effective way for the collection and removal of waste.This may include mixed waste (eg wood and soil), road sweepings, green waste (including but not limited to grass clipping, hedge cutting, shrubs and plants) and scrap metal from specific locations with additional waste removal where necessary from other locations within the District.
Over the past two years waste removal has been predominately undertaken a grab lorry, which has proven the most cost-effective method as well as responding to reduced capacity for storage of skips. However, there will be an ad hoc need for skips throughout the contract term as part of an area clear up project or a public event.
The initial contract period is three years; the contract is estimated to commence 11 November 2024 and expire 11 November 2027.
There will be an option to extend the contract for two years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is five years.

A Concessionaire may bid for multiple lots. Each Lot will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the evaluation criteria and methodology detailed in the Process Overview Part One document.
Where a concessionaire bids for multiple lots, they must be able to provide the concession on each site in accordance with the specification.
The initial contract is for a fixed 3-year period.
The Lot 1 concession will operate from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028, excluding the months the illuminations event is held which is currently September and October.
The Lot 2 concession will operate for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 illuminations events. The councils event team will confirm the Illuminations event dates on an annual basis.
The Lot 3 to 8 concessions will operate from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028 inclusive.
There will be an option to extend the contract for a further 1 + 1 year period at the discretion of the Council.

The reporting accountant will conduct testing of all Housing Benefit Assurance Process (HBAP) aspects of the audit.
A condition of participation is that you must be currently registered on the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) register of licensed local auditors Local Auditor Register.
The initial contract period is for the audit relating to the housing benefit subsidy claim for 2024/25; the contract is estimated to commence 5 May 2025 and expire 4 May 2026.
There will be an option to extend the contract for up to four years in 2 yearly increments subject to satisfactory performance and business needs, to meet the 2025/26, 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 audit requirements. The maximum contract period is five years.
