Procurement of software for the Council's Work Related Learning (WRL) Service. The Work Related Learning (WRL) Service currently use a attendance provision / monitoring cloud hosted software at schools. The system acts as a main point of contact between the collaboration for Attendance, Progress and to share student details. The City Council has a statutory duty to provide accommodation to young people and children under 18 who have been assessed as requiring accommodation under the Children Act 1989. Children's homes provide support and care for some of our most vulnerable children and young people. We want each child in care to be provided with the right placement at the right time, and for residential childcare to be a positive and beneficial choice for the children and young people living in children's homes. On average, Coventry currently has an average of 79 Looked After Children in residential provision per year. Of this cohort 10-15% of the children have presenting needs that make them hard to source placements for. The children within this cohort are hard to place for a number of reasons including increased aggression, gang affiliation, risk of CSE, and multi-placement breakdowns. The majority of children are male aged between 14-16 years. Coventry Children's Services are implementing Family Valued, relational-based practice in all the work that we do; this extends to the relationship-based approach we want to build with our providers, moving away from traditional transactional procurement. Coventry City Council is seeking to secure a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 residential placements per year in which we can place some of our most vulnerable children and young people, those with complex needs and difficult behaviours. This will be a flexible framework to allow us to reopen the framework each year (or as required) to secure a small number of providers who can commit to supplying up to 15 places between them each year. However, these places do not all have to be available at the start of the year; with placements coming available at various points in the year. This contract is looking for providers that know they will have existing placements ending within the 12-month period and wish to offer Coventry the option of placing one of our children when the bed becomes vacant, or who are creating new provision that will come available within the 12-month period and will give Coventry the first chance to secure the places available. The Council recognises the role it must play in mitigating and adapting to the Climate Emergency, as a key influencer and policy maker. The service is geared towards delivering improved outcomes for people living with dementia, enabling them to regain their independence within their own home environment through input from personalised support to aid the service user to reach their enablement potential. The service is tendered under two lots: Lot 1: Occupational Therapy Led Support Enabling individuals to regain independence through physical support and reablement. Physical support will be aimed at recovering, developing and maintaining the ability to carry out everyday tasks within their home or community. Lot 2: Cognitive Dementia Professional Specialist support and cognitive input will be aimed at developing an awareness of the reasons behind the behavioral patterns and activities of the individual, which, when understood, will feed into the support tailored for each individual. The service will deliver a flexible, short-term, promoting independence service. Service users receive support up to a maximum of six weeks. Coventry City Council would like to re-commission a service which supports: •on street sex workers (residing and or working in CV 1 to CV6) to access the services they need to obtain and retain stable housing, access drug services and access and retain drug substitution prescriptions, access health care at an early rather than acute stage thereby enabling them to exit the sex work industry •a reduction in the number of children born to this cohort and where the individual becomes pregnant to support them to either access a termination, engage with social care to keep their child or through the child removal process •the prevention and control of outbreaks of infectious disease such as Tuberculosis and Sexually Transmitted Infections. •sex workers to recognise that they are victims of modern slavery and enabling them to provide police intelligence to identify modern slavery rings and provide court evidence where relevant The successful Provider of the new contract shall deliver the same level of support to all sex workers regardless of gender and sexual orientation.
