Birmingham City University (BCU) has used Computer Aided Facilities Management
Software (CAFM) for the last five years within its Estate.
BCU currently has approximately 50,000 live assets it needs to manage and maintain.
To assist in managing an ever growing and changing property estate, BCU is now looking to renew its Computerised Aided Facilities Management System (CAFM) service provision, to
enable facility managers to effectively manage their buildings in one centralized system.
Future CAFM system service provisions should allow for facilities managers to plan, execute, and monitor all activities involved in areas including, but not limited to, the following:
Space and workplace management
Asset management
Reactive and planned preventative maintenance
Operational facility services
Room reservations
Help Desk solutions
BSL support services for Birmingham City University students.

Birmingham City University award for the provision of the Occupational Health for Students. A Professional and Confidential Student Health Screening and Inoculation Service - via direct award from the Employee Support Services and Benefits (Y21027), Lot 1 - Occupational Health Services framework agreement let out by Procurement Services.
IT197 - Unified Communications Solution
Birmingham City University award for the implementation of Unified Communications. A streamlined and integrated voice solution enabling calls via Microsoft Teams across all BCU devices, regardless of location - providing flexible and responsive communication for staff.
The procurement utilised RM6116 - Network Services 3 framework via Crown Commercial Service, Unified Communications Lot (Lot 4B) and the Further Competition option.
IT217 Safety Application
Birmingham City University Estates Department requires a mobile solution to provide information using incident-based notification to users and the University. The Security team, within the Estates department, require functionality that allows centralised control to direct the entire University community during an incident without the need for fixed infrastructure. In support of improved emergency response and business continuity procedures. The University also requires a technical solution that interfaces with other local systems, in turn providing an increased level of support for the students.
Birmingham City University award for the provision of the Occupational Health for Students. A Professional and Confidential Student Health Screening and Inoculation Service using the Open procedure in accordance with the requirements of the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) .
