The Association appointed a main contractor in September 2025 after a Tender competition to undertake remaining works to complete a development of 23 no. units at Corrib Avenue, Belfast.
The proposed contract is for the provision of a range of planning consultancy services including: • Feasibility Stage: providing concept overview of planning issues and risks for potential sites against legal, environmental and regulatory constraints • Pre Application Stage: advising on the layout and design of buildings, planning objectives, scope and impact, and preparation of planning statements; including evaluation of consultant and/or contractor design submissions • Post Application Stage: monitoring of applications and liaison with consultees to expedite approval; preparation of any required rebuttal statements; responding to any objections raised; confirmation of discharge of planning conditions by designers • General Planning Advice: advising on various planning issues arising that may have an impact on the CA’s current or future housing schemes. The proposed works consist of fire safety improvement works, fire door replacements, fire stopping, emergency lighting, internal redecoration, internal and external lighting. The work will also involve redecoration and replacement of suspended ceilings.
Choice Housing intends to appoint an external recruitment consultant to assist with the identification and selection of new Board and Committee members on a framework basis for a three year term. The new contract will be effective from September 2024 to August 2027.
Choice Housing Ireland Ltd wished to appoint a suitably qualified contractor for the provision of responsive maintenance, out of hours emergency works, void property works and adaptations. The services are required for the Association’s properties in the west of the province (Lots 3 and 4) and include sheltered, supported and general needs accommodation. Contract core tasks include Responsive Maintenance (including Emergency Works ordered during Normal Working Hours), Out of Hours Emergency Works, Technical Inspections, Handyperson Services, Property Health Checks/MOTs, Mutual Exchanges Electrical Tests, Void Property Works, Communal Mechanical and Electrical Works (including but not limited to; CCTV, communal TV aerials and satellite systems, non-warden call door entry, automatic door openers). Planned maintenance/replacements may be undertaken as discretionary works such as planned revenue and capital works. The service provider will be required to provide the works to the association 24 hours per day, 365 days per year (including all weekends and holiday periods).
Choice seeks to appoint developers to provide Competitive Land, Design and Build services in the Lisburn area for Social and PRS / Affordable housing projects. This will include the supply of land, design and delivery of property to meet DfC Housing Association Guide, statutory requirements, the Choice Maple and May design guide and performance specifications. The competition will seek developments of up to 100 units from each potential Developer with the ability to award contracts to multiple Developers. Therefore the output of the competition may exceed 100 units depending on tender returns.
The Association wishes to appoint a main contractor to undertake the demolition of the existing buildings situated at Tower Street, Belfast. The works are the demolition and site clearance of derelict existing detached 4 storey structure including 2 storey and single storey elements abutted structures and an existing two storey community building at the site of the former Belfast Metropolitan College at Tower Street, Belfast BT5 4FH.
The Employer wishes to secure a number of units of residential accommodation on sites within the area identified in the map at Section E of the Minimum Standard Questionnaire (Appendix 1). The Employer is willing to consider multiple offers for this requirement and may enter into a number of Contracts with successful Tenderer’s to secure its requirements or enter into a single Contract with a successful Tenderer for provision of units.
Choice Housing Ireland wish to engage the services of a suitably experienced and competent service provider to provide Legionella Control and Water Hygiene Management Services across a range of housing stock throughout Northern Ireland. The service is to include Legionella Risk Assessment (LRA), Water Hygiene management/monitoring and a range of remedial services including tank cleaning and chlorination, shower head cleaning, thermostatic mixing valve servicing, plumbing alterations, water tank repair and replacement and training. LRAs and associated management are both a statutory and regulatory requirement. The services will be delivered in accordance with PS 1 – Building Maintenance Policy and PS 1.6 – Legionella Control and Water Hygiene Procedure.
Choice Housing Ireland Limited wish to appoint a supplier for the provision of Internal Audit Services for Choice Housing and subsidiaries, including tax compliance.
Choice Housing Ireland Ltd intend to award a contract to HI-Nets International Ltd (AJW Construction Ltd) for the supply and installation of HI-Nets Ball stop fencing at Kilwee. This service is being secured as a direct award as HI-Nets International carried out the installation of existing fencing and there is an "extreme and unavoidable urgency" as the height of the current fencing is insufficient. The direct award is therefore required as there is a need to protect public safety.
