1.1. BACKGROUND Bodmin Town Council operates its own grounds maintenance team which has a small fleet of vehicles. An extra vehicle has been identified as a need within the ground's maintenance section of the Council. 1.2. PROJECT BRIEF Quotes for the design and build of a new ground's maintenance vehicle for the Estates team. The vehicle must be able transport ride on mowers, fuel, and small hand-held equipment The requirements of the vehicle are as follows: Specification- • Maximum 3.5 tonne • Beaver tail with side boards - To allow for Kubota F3090 with Trimax flail deck. • Secure tie down points • Fuel storage (combi cans) • Full chapter 8 compliance • Amber beacons (front, rear, and above cab) • Room for minimum of 2 operatives - Maximum of 3 operatives • Tool storage pod (if room allows) • Hands free phone connectivity BTC would prefer to capital purchase the vehicle however operational lease options may be considered. INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR TENDERING INVITATION TO TENDER: Design and installation of a new play facility at Moorview Tenders must be submitted in accordance with the following instructions. Budget £40,000 Invitation to Tender PROJECT BRIEF Bodmin Town Council (BTC) is seeking to invite tenders for the design and build of a new play facility for children aged from 7 to 13+ years of age, with all equipment and surfacing conforming to EN1176 and EN1177. The area assigned for development is located on the outskirts of Bodmin (see location map). A budget of up to £40,000 has been set aside to build a new play facility. The play area should be aimed towards older children and have durability and ease of maintenance at the fore front. The play area must be appropriately fenced to exclude dogs and to retain young children in the play area The play facility will need to be constructed to the rear of the site to allow for resident parking to be added later. The play area should also be located 20m away from habitable area of dwellings. Under the works you should allow for: • No onsite or technical support will be provided by Bodmin Town Council. • Planning submission • Supplier to take full responsibility to check and ascertain the installation feasibility. • Positioning, supply and installation of all play equipment and associated works, as per your design. Safety surfacing • The supply and installation of safety barriers, e.g., for play equipment, in accordance with minimum use zones and EN regulations. • Fall protection and safety surfaces for the play area should meet appropriate National Safety Standards for the equipment, activity, location, and child age ranges. • All proposed types of safety surfacing should have appropriate ground preparation to ensure free drainage, geotextile membrane, edging and access ramps or transfer platforms (cross sectional details will be required along with your tender return). Design Design should consider the surrounding Historic nature of Bodmin and be in keeping with the environment. Fencing and gates Any new play facilities will require suitable play fencing and safe closing gates, and vehicle maintenance gates. Theses gates should be a different colour to help to distinguish the access points. Furniture litter bins should be including in any new play facility theses, ensuring it is matching to the design, colour, and materials of the overall scheme. Inclusivity BTC would like their parks to be as inclusive as possible, inclusive play equipment should be considered as part of the tender.

Invitation to Tender PROJECT BRIEF Bodmin Town Council (BTC) is seeking to invite tenders for the demolition and design and build of new modular Toilet facilities at Fairpark Bodmin. The area assigned for development is located on the outskirts of Bodmin (see location map). A budget has been set aside to replace the existing toilet facility. The aim of the project is to demolish and remove the existing toilet block and replace with a Cubicle style toilet. Primarily the Council are seeking one cubicle but will consider the potential of a second cubicle should space and cost allow. Under the works you should allow for: • Development of the brief and specification. • Concept design • Statutory permissions i.e. Planning submission, Building Control. • Preparation of Tender and contract documents • Demolition of the existing facilities. • Manufacture and construction of new facilities • Supplier to take full responsibility to check and ascertain the installation feasibility. The Council is initially seeking expressions of interest from companies to deliver the project from inception to completion. Design The Interiors are required to be highly attractive, while being resistant to vandalism. A minimal amount of stainless steel, preferring solid surface materials and hardened tiles and laminates. Cladding and roofline can be designed to fit into local environment. The Council would expect a minimum 2-year product warranty and a 20-year structural warranty. The Council are seeking to ensure that the replacement cubicle is designed to save costs and minimise energy usage. • All the systems installed use minimum electricity and water • The toilets will only be active when in use and for a short period after. • All lights will be LED • Roof can be green sedum, improving the carbon footprint of the toilet • Cleaning is only required in the cubicle and exterior door. To provide all relevant specialist labour, materials including fence, line markings and specifically developed porous macadam court surface as per the specification below: To provide, supply and install: Materials and Labour for alterations to the existing MUGA located in Priory Park to incorporate the following disciplines, • A single Netball Court, • Basketball, • 5 a side/mini football • Tennis Court. The Brief - Bodmin Combined Commission This commission is being funded through the Bodmin Town Centre Vitality Action Plan grant and this work package should be informed by, and build on, any existing and previously completed work. A key initial phase of the work should involve the identification of any key studies or work packages already undertaken which add value to or underpin the development of the agreed priorities. The documents included in the information pack form an important part of this, but there will undoubtedly be other relevant documents. The principal objective of the commission is to prepare the groundwork so that Bodmin is in the best position possible to respond positively to any future funding opportunities which may be presented. The client for the work is Bodmin Town Team, with Bodmin Town Council acting as accountable body on behalf of Bodmin Town Team and consequently the legal contract for the undertaking of this work will be Bodmin Town Council.
