At a very high level, Ark Schools wish to be able to do the following: Create and share questions and assessments, Mark responses – automatically and manually, review and analyse responses within a class, year group, group of schools, share material with non-Ark schools, create and share questions and assessments mark responses – automatically.Contract Period for initial 3 years from 01/09/2023 to 31/08/2026 - With potential for four 12 month extensions until 31/08/2030. The estimated annual value of the contract (the 39 Ark Schools) is £40,000.
Extra-curricular sports and social skills programme for up to 200 young people in Southwark in Years 7-9 that focuses on improving emotional self-regulation and communication skillsThe cross-government Beating Crime Plan published in July 2021 announced investment of over £45m in specialist support in both mainstream and Alternative Provision schools in serious violence hotspots to support young people at risk of involvement in violence to re-engage with education. The majority of this funding is focussed on investment into mainstream schools called the SAFE Taskforces programme. SAFE Taskforces bring together mainstream schools to commission evidence-based interventions to Support young people with challenging behaviour, enabling them to Attend school regularly so they can Fulfil their potential and prevent costly poor life outcomes by inspiring them to Exceed their expectations.
Ark Schools would like to procure a service to provide mental health and wellbeing support for our schools. This service aims to provide support ranging from one-to-one counselling, group sessions and training workshops. It will also provide necessary support to parents, guardians and the wider community.This tender will serve 39 schools with just under 29500 students across Primary, Secondary and All-Through. ARK is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced Appropriate Body service providers to support the induction and development of Early Career Teachers (ECTs) across various regions in the UK. The successful bidder will act as the Appropriate Body, working closely with Ark Teacher Training to ensure the successful completion of the ECT induction period.
Ark would like to procure a service to manage the administration and operation of external hires and lettings on behalf of our schools Ark is a network of 39 schools in the UK, in Birmingham, Hastings, London and Portsmouth. Each of our schools has its own distinctive character, reflecting its local community. Seven schools are included in this procurement initially but others may choose to join during the life of the contract The focus of the lettings supplier will be to grow the income while supporting communitiesThe lettings provider will pay income monthly to each school from the revenue generated from the hiring of school facilities as agreed with each site. Suitable vetting of users as well as site security in line with Ark Schools policy will be the responsibility of the supplier during their time on site. Ark is seeking a comprehensive solution that meets all our requirements. However, we are open to considering tightly integrated products from established partnerships that minimise duplication of entry. Ark is an education charity that exists to make sure that all children, regardless of their background, have access to a great education and real choices in life.
Ark has circa 30,000 students learning through a network of 39 schools in Birmingham, Hastings, London, and Portsmouth. A number of the Schools have passenger lifts and other types of lifting equipment and Ark are procuring a new Term Maintenance Contract for the servicing and repair of this equipment. The Contract will be managed and administered through Ark’s Estates and Facilities team but the main point of contact for each school will be an Operations Manager.
Over the term of the contract, Ark Schools has plans to extend their network of Schools throughout England. An example of this is Pontefract, Yorkshire where Ark Schools will be expanding in 2026. This will have a total of 4 lifts. Ark Schools is therefore looking for an organisation which has the resources and structure to deliver lift maintenance and repairs services throughout England.
