The Provision of Half-Hourly and Non-Half-Hourly Metered Electricity & Mains Metered Natural Gas & Support Services To The Estates of FirstGroup's Train Operating Companies & Entities Across the UK

FirstGroup seeks tenders for the provision of supplies of natural gas and REGO-backed electricity, Meter Operator and Data Collector (DC) / Data Aggregator (DA) services to the estates of FirstGroup's rail business and Affiliates. The estimated annual consumption of all current entities is 55 GWhs per annum for electricity and 1.25 million Therms for gas. FirstGroup expects to award contracts for the entities for a minimum 36 month period with an optional 24 month extension. The gas contracts are expected to commence on 01/07/2025. The electricity contracts are expected to commence on 01/10/2025. Prospective Tenderers are advised that the new government has indicated its intention to bring all Train Operating Company contracts back under public control as and when they expire which means there may be a change in the number of entities being contracted between the contract notice publication and award/signature.
