Primary Care Partner (GP Services) for Urgent Treatment Centre

This notice is in relation to the competitive procurement for the Primary Care Partner (GP Services) for the Urgent Treatment Centre at University Hospital Lewisham run by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.<br/><br/>Further to its previous decision to abandon the procurement dated 24 October 2025, the Trust received notification of potential legal challenge in respect of that decision. The Trust subsequently cancelled the earlier abandonment decision and returned to an earlier stage in the procurement process.<br/><br/>On 6 March 2026, the Trust took a further decision to abandon the procurement. This decision was taken due to identified flaws in the evaluation process which prevented a fair evaluation of providers, and the Trust’s decision to adopt a revised service delivery model based on Trust-employed GPs.<br/><br/>The Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Competitive Process selected for this procurement has been abandoned and a contract has not been awarded. The Trust does not intend to carry out a new procurement process for these services.<br/><br/>This process has been abandoned under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply.
