Havering Council, is inviting tenders from experienced and qualified organisations to deliver a Level 2 Immigration Advice Authority advisor to provide immigration advice and casework to migrant communities in the borough of Havering. The overarching aim of this contract is to empower vulnerable migrants with professional, ethical, and timely immigration advice that enables them to regularise their status, access entitlements, and work toward self-sufficiency. By removing immigration-related barriers and helping eligible individuals apply for benefits, housing, and employment, the service supports clients in lifting themselves out of poverty—and subsequently reduces financial pressure on Council resources. This includes identifying and assisting individuals with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) to offer advice and casework to support applications in the aim of lifting restrictions. Enabling eligible residents to access public resources such as Universal Credit or housing support brings both long-term savings to the Council and improved integration outcomes for residents.
