The Royal Armouries Museum wishes to establish an Agreement for the provision of Lead Design Consultant (LDC) services for RIBA Stages 2-7 with a twelve-month Defects Period, for the Armed with Hope & Understanding project. The Lead Design Consultant will procure a dynamic and multidisciplinary Exhibition Design Team to carry out the Services and all duties and responsibilities required to fully execute the Scope of Services outlined herein. The Exhibition Design Team will be experienced in providing flexible designs that meet project budgets, target timescales, and adhere to statutory legislation, Client guidelines and industry best practice. The Services should not be viewed as definitive or prescriptive. The Lead Design Consultant is encouraged to use their own initiative and expertise to assist the Client in achieving the most appropriate solutions to deliver the project on time, to the target level of quality and in line with the agreed budget. CONTRACT STRUCTURE: This contract is awarded for a maximum estimated value of £2,335,210.60 (ex VAT), £2,802,252.72 (inc VAT) and a maximum duration of 93 months. Phasing and Descoping: The contract is structured in phases. Phase 1 is confirmed at a value of £106,515 (ex VAT), £127,818 (inc VAT). Subsequent phases are optional and strictly contingent upon secured funding. The contract includes provisions for the Authority to descope or scale down these optional phases (up to 100%) to align with final funding allocations without this constituing a substantial modification, as the potential for such a downward variation was explicity provided for in the initial procurement design and in the tender documents. STANDSTILL PERIOD: The mandatory standstill period for this procurement begins on the date of publication of this notice (18/03/2026) and will end at 23:59 on 27/03/2026. The Contracting Authority intends to enter into the contract on or after 30/03/2026.
