South Derbyshire District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Supplier to undertake survey investigations to gain an understanding of both the cause and reported effect of the structural/subsidence issues. The recommended surveys where deemed appropriate should consist of the following: - A geotechnical investigation to determine the characteristics of the ground. - A full CCTV drain survey to determine the layout and condition of the service pipes. - A GPR survey to map the ground beneath the external foundations of the property/all properties. - A subsidence survey, specifically to detect subsidence, foundation failure indicating the weight of the structure can no longer be supported by the foundations. - Tree survey only if nearby tree roots are found as the cause of subsidence. - Structural surveys if subsidence is detected and properties are affected: to diagnose potential works and for building monitoring to evaluate the extent of the structural issues over a period of time (typically over the 4 seasons). The maximum funding envelope for this contract is £171,000 under a 2+1 year contract. Any tender submission that exceeds this financial limit will be deemed non-compliant and will be rejected without further evaluation.
