ED0316-24 Exmouth Seawall Phase 2

Early Engagement - Currently we are looking to have all design drawings in place for the 3rd September. we have had early agreement on the basis of design so we hope to pull this date forward to 3rd August. We are looking for the contractor to express interest in the works and by doing so will ensure they will have estimating team ready for August -September when the tender documents become live. The contractor will also ensure there will be availability within their programmes to commit to the works target date of 7th October at the latest. Phase 1 completed in July 2024 . Phase 2 target start date 7th October 2024. Works involved installation of 150m linear length Anchored sheet pile wall with deviation around concession buildings. Sheet pile lengths between 9.5-10 metres. Rock anchors on every In-pan length of anchors 18m. As part of this early engagement see attached phase 1 drawings which will serve as the basis for the phase 2 design but are not to be priced against. I have also provided the alignment for phase 2. There are 2 concessions to pile around, and a third area where a (Coastguard building) concession once stood. As part of the design process we are trying to establish if these areas can be built as a cantilever rather than require anchoring. The sheet piling around the third area is still subject to change.
