WCBC is establishing the DPS to provide a compliant procurement route for the execution of Childcare Provision – Flying Start/Non Maintained Funded Early Education. The DPS will provide an unlimited number of suitably qualified and experienced Childcare Providers (referred to as Potential Providers). The provision is being purchased under two Lots: LOT 1 – FLYING START LOT 2 – NON-MAINTAINED EARLY EDUCATION
Flying Start is the Welsh Government targeted Early Years programme for families with children under 4 years of age, living in some of the most disadvantaged areas of Wales. The aim of the programme is to help children to have the best possible start in life for their future growth and development. Flying Start is child focussed and supports parent/carer(s) to provide the most positive environment for their children’s wellbeing. Through early identification of needs and provision of early support, Flying Start aims to improve the outcomes for children and young people and their future life. WCBC is establishing the DPS to provide a compliant procurement route for the execution of Childcare Provision for Flying Start.
Agreed statutory education provision for 3-year old's in accordance with the new Non-Maintained Sector Curriculum for Wales. High-quality play and learning opportunities for children in accordance with the new Non-Maintained Sector Curriculum for Wales. A minimum of 10 hours a week in total, during term time, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays. This can be made up of 5 x 2 hours a day or 4 x 2.5 hours a day; WCBC is establishing the DPS to provide a compliant procurement route for the execution of Childcare Provision – Non Maintained Funded Early Education.
