Highland Council is the lead partner in a collaboration with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils who together wish to procure a solution to deliver a fair, regionally focused, and accessible Electric Vehicle (EV) charging network that meets the needs of all users. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is inviting expressions of interest to explore potential delivery options to achieve the Council’s ambitions to deliver EV Charging Infrastructure across Highland, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Council areas.
Highland Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen City Council intend to enter a joint venture arrangement or consortium opportunity with an investment and delivery partner(s) to bring forward the provision of EV Charging Infrastructure across the region but also to realise the commercial opportunity that this approach could provide to the Council partners. Agreement has also been made with Moray Council, Argyll & Bute Council, Western Isles Council, Orkney Islands Council, Shetland Isles Islands Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, HiTrans and NHS Highland to work collaboratively to the benefit of all in the region and these partners may wish to call off from any future agreement.
This PIN is intended to allow interested parties, with appropriate experience, to present a range of proposal(s) and provide information to the consortium so that it can take forward the most realistic submission(s), that meets our indicative key criteria. Additional information: It is likely that any future procurement exercise will be divided into Lots; however, this is still under consideration and recommendations from potential partners on how to address this is welcomed.
