Design & Supply of material (excludes installation) to enable the fitment of Single Variable Rate Sanding Equipment to 10 x Class 158 Units and 29 x Class 159 Units

Description

South Western Railway (SWR) invite expressions of interest for the supply and delivery of full design work and material to enable the fitment of Single Variable Rate sanding equipment to 10 x Class 158 units and 29 x Class 159 units; to include an agreed level of strategic spare material. Interested parties should include equipment warranty period, and provide, for SWR retention, technical documentation, schematic drawings, fault finding guides and material specifications. The installation of the modification will be carried out by SWR between December 2022 and April 2023 at Bournemouth Depot, therefore SWR will require detailed designs, installation, and testing instructions. Interested parties should also provide an option for on-site support at Bournemouth depot during first in class fitment and testing. For the avoidance of doubt, interested parties are not required to include costs for installation. A specification of requirements will be provided as part of the tender process.
