Landex, on behalf of a collaborative forum of land-based education and industry partners, invites tenders for the development and delivery of an integrated national marketing campaign focused on raising awareness of land-based careers among young people aged 14-19.
Landex is managing this project on behalf of the National Landbased College, working with sector partners to raise awareness of the breadth, relevance and future opportunities within land-based careers.
The campaign will present a positive, modern and future-focused narrative for land-based careers, address misconceptions and awareness gaps, cover the breadth of land-based industries, include social media campaign delivery and video-led content, direct users to a central landing destination with onward routes to careers, courses, advisers and adult upskilling, integrate and signpost partner initiatives and assets, provide measurable impact data and reporting, and be scalable for potential future phases.
The campaign will include a central landing page to support user journeys and signposting to partner resources. An outline structure for this already exists, so the primary focus of this commission is developing a strong campaign concept and reaching new audiences, rather than building a complex website.
The campaign must remain unbranded and represent the land-based sector collectively.
Evaluation will be undertaken on the basis of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT). Shortlisted bidders will be invited to present as part of the final evaluation stage.

Children's Playground, Marsh Green, Edenbridge
Marsh Green playground is in a public open space located off Marsh Green Road. The current play area is limited in what it offers with only two pieces of equipment providing swings and a slide and has gone beyond its life span. The current marked play area is mostly grassed with the equipment sat on a mulch surface.
Edenbridge Town Council is looking to redevelop the existing playground area, creating a new toddler and younger years play area. This will include the removal of the existing swings and slide, the installation of the new equipment, and the installation of appropriate safety surfacing.
Project Brief: To refurbish and upgrade the play area at Marsh Green, to create an exciting play area which challenges children aged between 0-8. Play equipment should encourage inclusive play and allow for accessibility and sensory play.
There are two items of play equipment which are outdated and will need to be removed to make way to create a modern, inclusive, and attractive play area for the range of children's ages and abilities.
There is some flexibility in adjusting the play area boundary.
The facilities will provide a much-needed alternative play area for families in Marsh Green and Edenbridge, and for children who attend the pre-school nearby. Total budget range is up to a maximum of £70,000.

Timelapse Photography Equipment
To capture the long term time-lapse photography for 3no. upcoming projects to be undertaken at the University of Salford:-
1. Newton Building Engineering & Environment ICZ new build
2. Second Floor Cockcroft Laboratory redevelopment
3. Library redevelopment project final phase
The Newton redevelopment lasts for 20 months. The Cockcroft laboratory project will last 4 months whilst the Library project will last 6 months. There will be a gap of approximately 8 weeks between the end of the Cockcroft Project and the commencement of the Library project so cameras can be de-rigged and set up in the Library project. We have not got a start date for the Newton project yet. The Cockcroft project is due to start on site on the 20th February with the initial strip out. The Library is due to start on the 12th June.
Your proposal should include for 10 cameras permanently deployed across the projects. 6 external cameras will be used to record the progress of the construction of the New Engineering & Environment ICZ new build whilst 4 can be used internally to record the time-lapse of the Cockcroft Laboratory and then moved to the Library.
You will be responsible for identifying camera positions and for arranging access to survey for finalising mounted hardware and positions.
Your quotation must include for monthly inspections of the cameras including the fixings to ensure there are no risks to health and safety. During these maintenance inspections an allowance should be made in the quotation to take supplementary photographs and video if required at key project milestones.
The university will require the release on a monthly basis of the time-lapse information so it can be used to update the University Community on the progress of the projects.
Additional information: Please go to https://in-tendhost.co.uk/salford/aspx/Home to register and apply. All correspondence for this project must be made via the Intend portal.
The Library at the University of Salford has run a laptop loan service for its students since 2010. The lockers provide secure storage as well as battery charging.
Initially this was run via a staff desk with lockers manually operated by staff. In 2012 the lockers were fitted with RFID locks and students have since been able to issue and return the laptops themselves by swiping their university ID card.
Rather than connecting to our Library Management System our existing locker system came with its own software for managing laptop loans. There are a number of issues with this.
i. The software isn't fit for purpose. It was designed for use in Gyms or swimming pools and as such it's a locker management system rather than a system for managing the contents of lockers. Although it allocates a locker to an individual it has no knowledge of whether the contents of the locker (in this case a laptop) are either present or absent at any stage of the process.
ii. The software is adequate for keeping track of who has a locker at the present moment (which is about all you need in a gym) however it is unable to provide adequate reporting of past locker use by individuals (important for trying to track down missing equipment or establishing when equipment was damaged) or to provide high level management information about locker use (this is a very well used service, however we are only able to prove that by spending hours exporting and re-processing the inadequate data provided by the software).
iii. Libraries run on Library Management Systems (LMS) - and one of the things an LMS is very good at is keeping track of physical stock. Even if the existing software was adequate it would still be the case that it was duplicating something we already have. At present there is an additional staff overhead taken up with the management of the server, setting up and managing a real time data feed, troubleshooting issues with individual user accounts, creating reports, creating and training administrators etc.
We are currently looking to expand the service, taking it into areas without a continuous staff presence, this means that the ability to track usage accurately is now a priority.

Additional information: All correspondence must be made via the InTend portal.

The Ministry of Justice (the "Authority") is seeking to establish the Prison Education Dynamic Purchasing System (PEDPS) for the provision of education, Information, Advice and Guidance and resettlement services to those in custody in England. The PEDPS will operate with 17 Service Categories and 5 Geographical Locations. The number of Potential Suppliers appointed to the PEDPS is unlimited. The PEDPS will have an open end-date with no set duration and will run until the Authority decides to close it.
