Police Officers and Police staff experience emergencies that can create a wide range of psychological and social challenges at an individual level, which require treatment. Therefore, it is important that WYP have a pre-established pathway of suitable referral resources.
WYP wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor who is proactive and committed to developing a partnership approach. The Contractor will provide services in an efficient manner and will seek out on-going efficiencies throughout the life of the agreement.
The main service required under this contract relates to one-to-one assessment and therapy, which is provided to Police Officers and Police Staff.
These services are required to treat a wide spectrum of psychological disturbances including but not limited to; work related and psychological trauma. Our cases often present with extremely complex multifaceted issues. We would also expect the provider to use their expertise in providing a range of psychological therapies to enable the person to return to employment and full functionality.
In addition to one-to-one services, the contractor will be required to provide group training sessions with the Occupational Health Department, general advice to the OH team, initial assessment reports, reports for GP's and discharge reports.
The Contractor must be able to deliver these services from their premises a central West Yorkshire location or have at least two premises in the East and West side of the Force area.
It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded in accordance with the timetable and dates specified on the Bluelight e-Tendering Portal. The contract will be for a period of 3 years initially with the option to extend the contract by a further 1 x 12 month period.

The People Directorate of West Yorkshire Police (WYP) have secured funding in order to support employee wellbeing provision during the recovery from the Covid pandemic for Police Officers and Police staff.
WYP have a good range of interventions, support and opportunities for our people to access if they need help, but illness associated with mental ill health still accounts for the largest proportion of absence and is a high amber risk on Strategic Risk Register. The Force Management Statement return in relation to wellbeing continues to raise concerns about capacity to deal with mental health related demand and HMICFRS have inspected and measured wellbeing provisions this year.
There are three key aims from the funding; increase knowledge and awareness of mental health issues, Increase awareness of mental health issues across the whole workforce in order to provide people with the knowledge to provide peer support to colleagues, improve prevention of mental health issues by reducing stigma and discrimination.
The successful provider will be expected to design and deliver a twelve-month training programme to achieve the above via a blended approach. This should be based on a model of maximising participant numbers, while balancing appropriate quality and meaningfulness.

South Yorkshire Police (SYP) have awarded a contract for a 24 hour, 7 day, 365(6) days a year dog collection and boarding service provision of 35 kennels, with the potential for access to further kennels should the need arise.
Following a call from SYP, the successful Service Provider will collect the dog(s) urgently within the minimum timescale possible and within a maximum of 90 minutes following notification.
The successful Service Provider will safely remove the dog(s) without the assistance of the attending police officer as they may not be equipped or experienced in dog handling. The dogs that are to be collected can range from the very friendly to those that can be very difficult and dangerous to handle.
The successful Service Provider will kennel the dog(s) for a duration which will be determined by SYP. The duration of kennelling the dog(s) could be long-term. The successful Service Provider will provide adequate and secure shelter, food and healthcare sufficient to meet the needs of the animal in line with the animal welfare act for animals placed in the custody of the kennel. Any specific healthcare requirements for a dog(s) will be agreed between the Service Provider and SYP following veterinary consultation.
The contract is for an initial period of 4 years, with the option to extend by a further 2 x 12-month periods.

The Combined Authority (CA) is advertising a tender on behalf of West Yorkshire Police (WYP) for the provision of Role Actors to support their investigative interview training with a view to awarding a contract for an initial period of 3 years with options to extend up to 2 x 12 months.
Predominantly the specialist courses are delivered at Wakefield West Yorkshire. WYP deliver a number of courses where they require the services of Role Actors to help deliver aspects of that training. It is critical that the training is as real life as possible and therefore crucial that experienced and believable actors are able to perform the roles. A diverse range of training courses will be delivered throughout the contract duration and WYP are seeking a supplier to provide a pool of suitable role actors to assist with delivery of these courses.

The purpose of the contract is to provide support, guidance and practice to all individuals who will be attending:

2. Lot 2 The College of Policing Fast Track National Assessment Centre (police officers)
The overall aim of SPNAC and Fast Track Coaching is to increase the success rate of candidates at the Assessment Centres.
It is imperative that the provider has significant knowledge in this coaching and delivered previously. We would anticipate that a provider may be able to supply an off the shelf package having previously delivered this type of coaching for both aspects, however we would wish to work with the provider to tailor requirements to suit if necessary.
