Wyre Council have committed to the future of Marine Hall, both as a singular space for entertainment and cultural participation and as a central element of the Fleetwood Waterfront Masterplan which embraces the Hall as an economic driver for other activity and wellbeing activities on the seafront location.
In bringing our aspirations for the redevelopment of the Waterfront Bar closer to reality, Wyre have invested approximately £35,000 in architectural design work up to RIBA 3 for this space and the adjoining kitchen. In doing so, we aim to create a daytime hospitality and hire proposition as well as a second performance space with the capacity of 110. In recognition that these changes have the potential to deliver new income streams in the future which will undoubtedly play a key part in commercial and artistic plans.
The project comprises the replacement of existing electrical distribution equipment throughout all floors of the building, along with associated builders work.
Wyre Council is looking to procure consultancy services to provide outline business cases for four projects previously identified in the Fleetwood Waterfront Masterplan. The outline business cases form stage one of this project.
Following completion of the outline business case (stage one), there is the full business case (stage two) which will be commissioned subject to the satisfactory completion of the outline business case and cabinet approval of the project proving the viability of the four projects. The full business cases form stage two of this project.
The project comprises the replacement of existing electrical distribution equipment throughout all floors of the building, along with associated builders work, all as detailed in the tender documents.
Wyre Council is inviting quotations to prepare a design for the widening of the promenade to Rossall beach, North Promenade, Thornton-Cleveleys, FY5 1DW.
As part of the 'Cleveleys Area' project, the Client intends to enhance the existing promenade by extending it seawards. This extension aims to facilitate easier pedestrian and cycle movements along the promenade, which is currently restricted by its limited width. The adjacent road and residential properties further limit the possibility of an inward design solution.
It is intended that these works will be instructed to the Contractor while they are on site. The 'Cleveleys Area' has a Sectional Completion Date of 16th December 2026. Therefore, the Pre-Construction Design, including the associated planning application and discharges, must be aligned to facilitate the commencement of construction works by April 2026.
Wyre Council is responsible for rolling out a food waste collection service which is due to commence in April 2026. As part of the roll out the council is planning to send out communications to its residents and the supplier will produce food waste packs and arrange delivery to residents in the Borough.
