A public realm project to remodel and refurbish the Rotunda seating area that sits at the head of the High St in Westbury town centre. This is intended to be the first public realm improvement in the wider strategy to regenerate Westbury Town centre - A Vision for Westbury. The works include the demolition of most of the existing brick walls above ground, taking care to preserve footings for the new stonework to be installed in its place. A lowering of levels will allow for greater access Show less description into the space and views to be opened up. A robust palette of materials is proposed to take the place of the deteriorated brickwork. The reuse of foundations and any aggregates and sub base materials is requested to reduce arisings from the site. Stone work is to be cut to measurements by the supplier away from site and delivered fully worked, and installed as per the drawings. The existing soft landscape is to be reduced and converted into a rain garden tree pit - retrofitted around the exiting trees rootzone. Westbury Town Council have agreed to the service devolution and asset transfer from Wiltshire Council. As from 1st January 2025, Westbury Town Council(WTC) will be responsible for all the streetscene, grounds maintenance and highways sweeping. The contract is for 5 years with the potential of an extension for another maximum 3 years. Full details in specification/scope of works. Westbury Town Council (WTC) is inviting tenders for the provision of Grounds Maintenance and Streetscene Services in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015). WTC will take on the responsibility for Grounds Maintenance and Streetscene Services from Wiltshire Council on 1st March 2025. WTC will retain some services in house, such as the cemetery, parks and allotments.

In accordance with The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Westbury Town Council (WTC) is inviting tenders for the Design and Refurbishment of two public toilets in Westbury, Wiltshire. These facilities were leased from Wiltshire Council to Westbury Town Council and are shown in the at the locations shown below: There are 2 sites for refurbishment as per below. Warminster Road, BA13 3PE - W3W describe.flats.eclipses High Street BA13 3BW - W3W interests.removing.defended The contract will be let under a JCT Design & Build Contract (Minor Works 2024). To the best of WTC's knowledge neither site requires planning permission for the refurbishment works to be undertaken. A site visit day has been arranged for 11 a.m on 31 October 2025 and the process for questions and clarifications is described within this document. To assist tenderers WTC has undertaken full Mechanical & Electrical surveys of both sites and these reports are included within the Tender. Companies should also be aware that the Warminster Road public toilet has an asbestos pipe to the rear of the structure that requires safe removal and disposal, in accordance with industry standards and practice. Following professional advice, WTC believes this is the only occurrence at the two sites though it is the successful tenderers responsibility to check this, and if additional asbestos is found arrange for its safe removal and disposal. This should be detailed and included in the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and approved by the Principal Designer, before any works are undertaken.
