Feasibility study for anaerobic digestion in Somerset
The SWNZH wishes to appoint a consultant to explore the feasibility of AD as a suitable technology to deploy at scale to process farm manure waste, sewage sludge, food waste and other organic waste products/energy crops. The aim will be to produce a system that can deal with a variety of organic wastes that also leads to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The feasibility will look at AD technology and its viability in the Heart of the Southwest and in particular the Somerset Levels region which has the added bonus of either mitigating or offsetting phosphate levels in this environmentally sensitive area as has been the case in Denmark, where AD attached to both farms and wastewater treatment works has formed part of the Danish approach to managing and reducing nutrient pollution arising from both animal and human waste.
1.3.2 The Bristol Temple Quarter (BTQ) Joint Delivery Team (JDT) is seeking to commission a consultant team to assist them in the preparation of a Masterplan for the Bristol Temple Quarter Regeneration Programme (BTQRP) area. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious and transformational regeneration projects and be an integral part of developing a sustainable and inclusive masterplan and multi-disciplinary, flexible tool to support huge housing and economic growth enabled through the delivery of significant infrastructure.
To support and grow the social economy in the region, whilst also addressing the current issues of sustainment in the market and the demand for income diversification from the sector. A consortia of locally representative third sector organisation and (a) experienced business support provider(s), working in partnership with the West of England Combined Authority (CA), is required.
Importantly, support should be available to organisations to explore growth opportunities, along with sustainment and risk management. This will include developing new income streams, building cash reserves, financial management, and building capabilities.
The service will be broken into five key areas of delivery:
• A range of themed workshop, responsive to the needs of the recipient organisations
• Mentoring from experienced social entrepreneur(s)
• Specialist consultancy where necessary
• Peer networks with mixed representation of organisational structures
• An accelerator service (this will be for a limited number of organisations each year).

The West of England Combined Authority, in collaboration with Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council, South Gloucestershire Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council, is establishing a four-year Professional Services Framework Agreement to support our regional infrastructure projects. This Framework Agreement will have a single lot incorporating a number specialisms detailed within the Scope of Requirements.
West of England Combined Authority Professional Services Framework Renewal
The West of England Combined Authority, in collaboration with Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council, South Gloucestershire Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council, is establishing a four-year Professional Services Framework Agreement to support our regional infrastructure projects. This Framework Agreement will have a single lot incorporating a number specialisms detailed within the Scope of Requirements.
It is our intention to award up to six Suppliers a place on the Framework agreement (except in the unlikely event that two Suppliers are within 1% of winning sixth place, in which case we reserve the right to include a seventh Supplier). Each Supplier is expected to have multi-disciplinary capability or access to deliver the contracts/work packages granted under the Framework Agreement.
It is estimated that the Framework Agreement will have a value of between £55m and £112m over the four-year term.
The Framework can be utilised by all other UK Public Sector Bodies, including but not limited to: local authorities, health, police, fire and rescue, education and devolved administrations. Use of the Framework by these other bodies will be via an access agreement issued by the West of England Combined Authority.
The CA aims to appoint suppliers who have the capabilities and capacity to support the delivery of its business and strategic objectives at pace and who will share the CA's ethos and values.

Tech Adoption service for SMEs (Small Medium Enterprises) in the west of England.
The service will provide an initial in-depth business diagnostic, identifying opportunities for technology adoption specifically in the three areas of inbound sales, outbound sales and systems & processes. This should also include in-depth analysis of the digital skills needs of employees in relation to the identified tech adoption opportunities, as well as the wider businesses operations. This will then lead to no less than four days for direct 1-2-1 consultancy and where applicable, workshops for employees, supporting the role out of the selected project.
On completion of the project there will there is a requirement for an initial impact review of the project and the support delivered, which will capture learnings and provide suggestions on how to build on for longer term impact. It is also an expectation that there will be a catchup service, where the delivery partner will make contact and assess progress, at three and six months after the completion of their support journey.
The Combined Authority wishes to establish a Framework Contract to provide a compliant and efficient way to procure a range of suppliers of cycle hangars for installation in 3 UA areas Bath North East Somerset, Bristol City council and South Gloucestershire county council.

The DPS will be for the provision of Supported Bus Services in the South West of England including Bristol, Banes, North Somerset and South Gloucester.
