The appliance bay door, roller shutter gates and barriers contract provide a 24/7 reactive call and two planned visits per year (one visit for a full service and one visit for an inspection and operation test) out for all bay doors and site gates across the brigades estate.

Framework for Smoke Alarms and Associated Products (2025-29)
West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority ("the Authority") is conducting this procurement using the Open Procedure in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the purpose of procuring the Goods described in the Specifications.
This Framework Agreement is for the supply of Smoke Alarms and Associated Products to include but not limited to smoke alarms, interlinked smoke alarms, vibrating pads and strobes for the hearing impaired, carbon monoxide and heat alarms and a customer support service. The framework is designed to meet the needs of UK Fire and Rescue Services for use in residential premises. Through the establishment of this framework agreement all UK FRS's will have the capability to place direct call off orders with the winning suppliers for these products. Reactive maintenance works are those that comprise of day to day emergency repairs together with short term items to rectify immediate problems e.g. repair to a toilet. The works could potentially be required across the West Midlands region, which is split into the following areas: Birmingham North and South, Black Country North and South and Coventry and Solihull. West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority has thirty-eight fire stations across the region, a HQ building located in Birmingham, Transport Engineering Workshops in Perry Barr and the Command Development Centre in Smethwick, a full schedule of properties is listed at Appendix 5 (site address list).
The work will be split into the following lots:

Tenderers are invited to bid for all or any of the available Lots. It is the preference of the Authority that all the above Lots will be awarded to three suppliers per Lot.

The replacement of boilers at two WMFS locations. The contractor should employ skilled personnel and specialist contractors as necessary to achieve the standards described. The mechanical services shall include the following:

4) Thermal Insulation.
5) Testing and Commissioning.

Sprinkler Maintenance and Emergency Repairs of West Midlands Fire Service Sites
The Works comprise of the execution planned, corrective and emergency inspection, test, maintenance and repair of the entire sprinkler systems within the various locations as scheduled in the specification. The maintenance contract is fully comprehensive and includes all parts except those specifically excluded later within the specification.

This project is to rewire Brierley Hill fire station, this includes removal of all existing cables/switchgear/distribution boards/lighting and replace for new as per the specification.
A decision is to be made if the station is closed or not for the duration of the works, within the tender documents there are two options that will be required to be completed and costed for.
Option 1: Works To Be Carried Out Over One Phase, Whilst Building is Vacated
Option 2: Works To Be Carried Out in A Phased Manner, Whilst Building is Occupied/Operational
The decision will be made by senior leaders within the organisation using the information provided within this tender response, including costs, timeframes, disruption to site, Health and safety of contractors and WMFS personnel.
