West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority ("the Authority") has conducted this procurement using the Open Procedure in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the purpose of procuring the Goods described in the Specifications. This Framework Agreement is for the supply of Smoke Alarms and Associated Products to include but not limited to smoke alarms, interlinked smoke alarms, vibrating pads and strobes for the hearing impaired, carbon monoxide and heat alarms and a customer support service. The framework is designed to meet the needs of UK Fire and Rescue Services for use in residential premises. Through the establishment of this framework agreement all UK FRS's will have the capability to place direct call off orders with the winning suppliers for these products. This notice is to notify the intention to award a contract to UKG Ltd for UKG Telestaff Cloud, an automated scheduling system to manage shift scheduling and provide notifications of shift availability to Firefighters. The Authority implemented UKG Telestaff in 2023 and now has a requirement to renew the contract. The contract is for a 3 year period commencing 20 February 2026. A standstill period will take place prior to the award of the contract from 23 January to 3 February 2026.

This notice is to notify the intention to award a 6-month contract, from 1 March 2026 - 31st August 2026 to SSS Public Safety Ltd for the provision of urgent continued support and maintenance for the Authority's command and control system, while the implementation of a replacement system takes place. A standstill period will take place prior to the award of the contract from 23 January to 3 February 2026.
