Novation of Venari Engineering Ltd to North Fire Engineering Ltd for Lots 2,3,4 and 5 of the framework agreement

West Midlands Fire Service are looking to jointly procure with Staffordshire Fire Service Breathing Apparatus (BA) radios and ancillary equipment. The preferred supplier shall provide Maintenance Services for the goods, which shall be undertaken by suitably trained and competent personnel, provide training/ training packages for the goods supplied and ensure that spare parts are available for the life of the contract of supply.
The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems to all West Midlands Fire Service sites.
The purpose of the work to be undertaken is to ensure that Hot and Cold-Water Systems which include all plant/equipment and components associated with that system, e.g. all associated pipe work networks, pumps, storage cisterns, feed tanks, valves showers, heat exchangers, etc. are fully compliant with The HSE Approved Code of Practice and Guidance document L8 and HSG274 pt2, The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems.
The Supplier will provide the customer with access to the following platforms for a period of up to 6 months for a 'Proof of Concept' (POC):
IRIS Core: a dedicated Cloud-based platform for the Customer
IRIS Tactics: Android version of IRIS Core for smartphone and tablets
West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority ("the Authority") is conducting this procurement using Invitation for Further Competition under YPO DPS Framework Ref 000904: Laundry (Including Specialist PPE) - Lot's ONE (1) & TWO (2) in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the purpose of procuring the Goods and services described in the Specification set out at Schedule 2
Laundry Provision
The Authority requires provision of a Laundry Rental Service including weekly collection and delivery of Items as detailed in Schedule 2: Specification and Requirements.
The Rental items include:
Bath Towels, Tea Towels and Aprons for 41 Fire Service locations.
Provision of Corporate Workwear Coveralls is required for the Transport Engineering Workshop ONLY (TEW)
Other Non-Rental items requiring to be sent for laundry on an Ad-Hoc basis including but not limited to,
Fleeces, Trousers, t-shirts, Sweatshirts, Polo shirts, Hi-Viz jerkins/coats, Cooks clothing, Water Rescue Under-suits, Oven gloves, Dish cloths, Dusters, and Tablecloths.
Collections/deliveries of 'Rental Items' are required to be made at all Fire Stations (it is the intention to request Suppliers to submit bids for collections/deliveries to be made as follows:

The procurement of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and associated Equipment and Services for West Midlands Fire Service. The procurement was conducted as a collaborative exercise with four other services under FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT DS314-20 Lots 1 -7. Each Authority that has taken part in the further competition is responsible for awarding their own call off with the winning bidder.
The Contractor shall carry out all testing and maintenance work to all Emergency Lighting, associated to the West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority.
The Contract includes the following list: Annual Test Testing, Monthly Testing, Minor Works / Remedial Works.
West Midlands Fire & Rescue Authority has a requirements for supply and delivery of Formaldehyde free or low, Orient Strand Board (OSB 3),board size, 2440 x 1220 x 18mm to be cut as required and delivered to two locations as detailed below for a 6 month period from 1st April 2023 to 30th September 2023, to include 5 sided polythene wrapping or similar and bearers, offcuts are required, all cut boards strapped and secured into bundles of x50 for delivery on pallets. Sites have a Fork lift Truck to offload goods upon receipt. Supplier to inform Fire Service sites 24hrs before delivery. All sites offer training courses and delivery must fit in with these.
West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority (WMFRA) currently has a vehicle fleet of approximately 75 large goods vehicles, 23 Toyota Hilux 4x4 Brigade response vehicles, 36 large vans (Mercedes Sprinters, Transits, Iveco daily) 40 light vans 40 (Vauxhall Combo) and 18 cars.
Shropshire and Wrekin Fire and Rescue Authority (SWFRA) currently has a fleet of approximately 41 large goods vehicles, 8 vans, 36 cars, 11 4x4's, 1 6x6, 1 minibus and 7 trailers.
The Authorities are therefore seeking a company to supply and fit tyres as required for two years plus an option to extend by up to two years in twelve-month options.
The company must be experienced in this field and be able to provide a 24/7 call out service, 365 days a year with a response time from initial instruction of one hour to any location within the West Midlands and Shropshire and Wrekin areas. They should supply all major brands of tyres. Services required include but are not limited to the following:
• Puncture repairs
• Supply and fitment of new tyres
• Tyre changeover/rotation on rim
• Wheel balancing (car and commercial)
• Breakdown and on-site rectification
• Disposal/recycling of scrap tyres
• Tyre inspection and panel reports
• Re-grooving
• Casing credits processed where applicable
• Technical advice as may be required from time to time
