West Berkshire Council will be going out to tender in the summer of 2024 for Care Home services across three sites in West Berkshire.West Berkshire Council currently operate three care homes focussed on the needs of older residents – Birchwood, a 60 bed nursing care home, Willows Edge, a 35 bed residential dementia home (both in the town of Newbury) and Notrees, an 18 bed residential home in the village of Kintbury.The Council wishes to transfer the operation of these homes to another provider or providers. West Berkshire Council are carrying out an early market engagement exercise in relation to the Grazeley Solar Farm project.The purpose of the early engagement programme is as follows;• To inform suppliers that the Council will be bringing the project to the market later this year, anticipated in Q4 2023.• To identify potential bidders and to gauge market interest in the project.• To obtain preliminary information on likely construction costs in order to inform the Council’s budgeting process.• To obtain basic information regarding the markets preferred equipment configurations.We would like to hear from interested suppliers, please contact vickie.collins@westberks.gov.uk to request a questionnaire.

The Council is seeking to replace the current offer it has for digital community signposting to provide a free, online directory of information, advice and support on a wide range of topics and services for adults, families and children across the district. It is expected that procurement information will be issued during summer 2023.

This is a prior notification regarding the intention to tender for the following services. West Berkshire Council are seeking to engage a service operator to run their network of local bus services for 2024 to 2032. This will include provision of vehicles, depot, associated maintenance and drivers. The operator will take complete responsibility for all service operation, vehicle supply and maintenance, driver qualifications / compliance and associated depot costs.
