WCC are inviting organisations delivering or interested in delivering dementia support services to contribute to the service models. The market testing will inform the understanding of the potential of the local market to provide the required support offer and to explore innovative ways of delivering the support services to improve the offer available to those living with dementia in Warwickshire. This information will be used to decide how WCC move forward with the services. This also provides the opportunity for organisations that may only be able to provide some aspects of the service offer to demonstrate their capabilities or interest in delivering parts of the service. Your participation will also contribute ideas as to how the current services may be improved for service users. We would like to engage with organisations, in a confidential setting, so that we can ensure we have considered all possible options and any associated risks and issues during our procurement process. WCC is seeking to explore the variety of providers offering dementia day opportunities. We are exploring the different levels of support, activities, and locations offered by different providers. The main aim of the day opportunities service will be to support individual customers to access meaningful activities in their community that reflect their needs and interests, deliver personalised outcomes, and delivery consistent, value for money services. An additional benefit is the break that carers will receive from their caring role. The services help to enhance the quality of life for people on a Dementia journey; and help to delay and reduce the need for care and support. Providers will offer building-based community support to individuals diagnosed with dementia. Therefore, a building is required to operate the service and providers will be responsible for sourcing a building. The building must be dementia friendly, and activities may also take place in the community. Your participation will also contribute ideas as to how the current services may be improved. WCC is very keen to hear your views. Even if you cannot answer all the questions, please still complete what you can and/or provide short answers as it is important that we get as many responses as possible from a range of providers across the sector to broaden our understanding and inform future commissioning strategy. Accommodation with support provides young people leaving care who are 16/17 years old and/or UASC, with a safe living environment where they are supported to develop the skills and experience to enable them to move safely to independent living in the future. Supported accommodation is not expected to provide 'care' in the same way as children's homes and young people typically have more independence and autonomy.
