Tenders are invited for the extension of a sports pavilion to form an office and meeting room. This will take the form of a JCT Minor Works form of contract with Contractors Design Portion. You are invited to tender for the Grounds Maintenance Contract for Westfield Parish Council. The Parish Council is sole trustee of two recreation grounds held in Trust for the people of Westfield. Maintenance of the Trust grounds is a high priority for the Parish Council as the grounds are well used by residents. With the current contract coming to an end in March 2024, we are required to invite tenders for the work over the next four years. The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025. Then, according to the performance of the chosen contractor during that year, the Parish Council will either extend the contract to cover the period from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2028, or issue new tenders as necessary. Please find on our website detailed specifications for the works required at both recreation grounds and inspection of the Christmas tree. We would be happy to show contractors around the grounds and buildings if required and contractors are welcome to visit the grounds at any time as they are open to the public 24/7. If you would like to tender for this contract, please use the Pricing Schedule on our website to indicate your fees for each item and an overall fee for the year as well as details of ad hoc charges and the charges up to 2028. The Pricing Schedule is an Excel workbook with four tabs where you can indicate pricing for each recreation ground, ad hoc works and future years. Please complete and return all sheets. Please also include details of any relevant background experience, including photos and references, and whether you are an approved contractor of the Football Foundation, to help the Committee understand your ability to undertake this work for Westfield. Westfield Parish Council is sole trustee of Westhill Recreation Ground, held in Trust for the people of Westfield. We are transforming the existing skittle alley into changing rooms for football teams and other groups using Westhill Recreation Ground. To apply please give complete and total costings of the work along with your relevant background experience and the completed contractors questionnaire. Waterside Valley is a linear 12.7 hectare (31.4 acre) stretch of informal greenspace to the east of Westfield. The site comprises three fields of disused grazing land. Its southeast boundary is defined by the watercourse variously known as Waterside or Snail's Brook, with the West Hill Gardens / Waterford Park housing estate forming its north west boundary. The site had for many years been used as informal public open space and was acquired by the Parish Council in two lots in 2021 and 2023. A masterplan and management plan has been produced for the site and the path improvements works covered by this tender, are the first significant phase of infrastructure improvements for the site. The works comprise improving footpaths with a new granular surface and installation of some sections of boardwalk across wetter areas. We are looking to hire Christmas Lights on a 4- or 5-year contract. The Contract should start with the Christmas 2025 display. We require installation, removal and storage. You are very welcome to arrange a site visit with us. New changing rooms for sports using the adjacent playing field.

Maintenance of two recreation grounds in the parish. Two football pitches and general recreation grounds with play areas. One with a BMX track and one with a tennis court and basketball/table tennis area and boules pitch. Also quarterly inspections of the living Christmas tree in the parish.
