Communal Areas to Schemes Cleaning Services Contract 2025

The scope of services will include (Schemes communal areas only):
• Scheduled general cleaning of doors, flooring, stairs, handrails, wall surfaces, light covers, internal fixtures and fittings, internal communal doors and glazing, lifts, fire safety equipment, general surfaces etc, in accordance with an agreed Schedule of Rates, agreed frequency and where applicable.
The services may also include:
• Fire safety works to consist of the simple, visual inspections of communal areas to confirm that exits are not blocked, fire doors appear undamaged, fire action notices are in place, no rubbish or belongings are present that may cause a fire risk or obstruct exits, fire doors are shut, etc, in accordance with the agreed cleaning schedule and where applicable. Any such issues to be reported to the Supervisor for alerting the Client.
• Ad hoc general cleaning of doors, flooring, stairs, offices, handrails, wall surfaces, light covers, internal fixtures and fittings, internal doors and glazing, lifts, fire safety equipment, general surfaces etc, due to urgent requirement and against an agreed Schedule of Rates.
• Ad hoc specialist cleaning such as the deep cleaning of carpets, furniture and fittings, mechanical or manual hard floor scrubbing, in accordance with an agreed Schedule of Rates and where applicable.

West Kent Housing Association wishes to commission an external review of Board effectiveness, together with an assessment of IDA readiness. West Kent last had an In Depth Assessment in April - June 2022 and we are now preparing for the next, under the new Inspection regime.
We require a review of our current governance arrangements and assessment of the robustness of evidence available to demonstrate compliance with the Economic and Consumer Standards. We are suggesting this will be broken down into three workstreams and each stage will be reported on separately.

Contractor for Retrofit Works to Existing Housing Stock

Following the successful SHF wave 3 consortium bid with Thriving Communities led by Places for People, West Kent Housing Association needs to appoint a contractor to deliver the work included in the bid.
Works include PV panels, ASHP, cavity and loft insulation, doors, and windows. We require delivery of these works in compliance with PAS2035, including retrofit assessments and submission of all KPI and evidence required for the SHF wave 3 bid. We will be seeking delivery of this contract with a turnkey approach, where the contractor is responsible for survey, design, delivery and grant income.
