The DIS team will conduct a comprehensive review of all current service providers and will therefore initiate a tender process for the provision of the aforementioned services in November 2025. We require a consistent and robust service capable of meeting the diverse and evolving needs of all our students. As part of this process, the university reserves the right to withdraw or amend any of the above areas before publication of the tender.

The University of Salford are seeking to appoint a service provider for the testing and servicing of emergency lighting assets & systems across the University estate. The successful service provider shall undertake the maintenance and servicing of emergency lighting assets & systems full accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, all relevant British Standards and approved codes of practice detailed within the ITT and supporting documents.

Air Handling Systems Planned Preventative Maintenance
The University of Salford are seeking to appoint a service provider for the maintenance of Air Handling Units across the University estate. The successful service provider shall undertake the maintenance of Air Handling Units in full accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, all relevant British Standards and approved codes of practice and the relevant SFG20 schedules detailed within the ITT.

Expression of interest for Blown Fibre Optical products.
As part of the masterplan Digital IT is looking to appoint an approved manufacture for blown fibre and all associated products for a new campus wide blown fibre ring (s). The successful manufacture will be chosen as a partner to advise on a design, equipment, associated products, services, and licences that are required to provide a new state of the art blown fibre network needed to make buildings and services operational.
It is envisaged the project will run for 5 years from 2024 but this timescale is not final and is subject to change at the Universities discretion.
The university will not be purchasing directly but will instead look to use an approved supplier and installer of the chosen product
