23/SJM/089 Power Electronics Training Equipment Power Electronics equipment is required for training undergraduate and postgraduate taught students in the areas of Power Engineering and Power Electronics and Drives The equipment required will be part of our new Renewable Energy and Power Laboratory, which will support training of our students at a range of levels of study. We envisage equipment to be used to train groups of 4-6 students on each hardware module. Each hardware module will be used as an individual teaching station covering a specified set of experiments, and therefore we require each of them to stand alone or be constructed as a bench top unit. The required equipment consists of two Lots of equipment for training engineering students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the following areas. We are seeking a particle sizer, also called Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), equipped with advanced technology to analyse the size distribution of Nano and micro particles reliably and accurately. The particle sizer should be accompanied by user-friendly software for swift and precise analysis. It should be capable of measuring sizes down to a fraction of a nanometre and up to 5um or higher. In addition to size measurement, the unit must have the capability to identify particle concentrations in fluids ranging from 0.0001% to 40%, ensuring versatility in its applications.
