Fire & Life Safe Systems Contract (Service, Maintenance & Installs)
The University requires a Fire and Life Safe System service contractor to assist the University in primarily delivering the maintenance of our networked fire alarm/detection and associated life safe systems.
Oxford University Estate Services (OUES) intends to establish a multi-supplier framework agreement for the provision of services design consultancy across its estate including but not limited to mechanical and electrical design consultancy services, and associated specialist disciplines.
We are looking to engage with consultants to support the delivery of a wide range of capital and refurbishment projects across our estate, from early-stage feasibility through to detailed design, construction support, and post-occupancy evaluation.
The framework will underpin the Estates Services commitment to net zero carbon and support a digital focus on how we deliver the capital pipeline for Oxford University in line with the Estates Strategic Plan. The contract length is still be determined, but will likely be for a period of 8 years.
This contract will cover construction projects valued from £0.5m to £20m

Gas and Oil Boiler Maintenance Contract (PPM & Reactive)
Oxford University Estate Services (OUES) are looking to engage with suppliers capable of operating its planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and statutory compliance works relating to boiler servicing within its built property estate through a specific trade-based contract. The contract length is still be determined, but will likely be for a minimum period of 3 years with an additional 2 x 2-year extensions, subject to satisfactory performance.
The University has approximately 450 buildings within the functional estate and the University's portfolio of privately-let accommodation includes 43 housing units in Wytham village, 41 in central Oxford and 33 properties for professorial appointments. These vary in size between one-bedroom flats and six-bedroom houses within Oxfordshire. Most of these buildings are within the Oxford ring road.
This contract covers over 1,000 assets.

Mechanical and Electrical Contractor Framework Agreement
Oxford University Estates Services are responsible for the learning and research buildings of the world's leading University. The estate comprises over 350 buildings, ranging from historic Grade 1 listed libraries to world-leading modern science facilities and buildings from every era in between.
Estates Services support the work to deliver the strategy for the University's mechanical and electrical infrastructure and systems in line with the Mechanical & Electrical Design Philosophy documents, which in turn supports the activities of the wider University.
They also support the Capital Projects team in delivering the next generation of buildings and the Sustainability team in their Environmental Sustainability Strategy that aims to get the University to net zero carbon emissions and biodiversity net gain by 2035.
The purpose of the Mechanical and Electrical Contractors Framework is to enable the University of Oxford Estates Services a fast and efficient method of procurement for mechanical and electrical projects and associated works building the infrastructure behind world-leading research and teaching.
