The University's Academy currently has a local solution in use to deliver all staff training. They have determined to purchase and implement a new system, replacing the existing solution, to better serve UOL staff training requirements. It is expected that this new system will be in place in time for the next academic year, 2023/24.
For the successful tenderer the resulting contract will be for 3 years. The term may be extended for an additional two years (in one-year increments) at the sole discretion of the University.

GB-Liverpool: THE PROVISION OF INDIVIDUALLY VENTILATED CAGES AND RACKS FOR USE AT CONTAINMENT LEVEL 3
The University seeks to secure a system of individually ventilated cages for use at Containment Level 3 to house mice and rats that are fully compliant with Home Office requirements. The proposed work will be with various hazard group 3 human pathogens, including airborne pathogens. The function of each individually ventilated cage shall provide the animals with a quiet, well ventilated environment that is guaranteed not to cause stress, suffering or pain to the animals.

Defra is awarding this research contract to the University of Liverpool following a successful application to the third call of Era-Net ICRAD (International Coordination of Research on Infectious Disease) to deliver international collaborative research projects into helminth infections and changing climate: tackling the challenges for animal health.
This is a compliant award under Regulation 9 of Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2015. Under this Regulation, Defra is obliged to award a public contract in accordance with procurement procedures which are established by the international funding network, Era-Net ICRAD, that is co-financing the projects.
