The University is seeking to appoint a specialist firm who can work with the university to create a robust and cost effective Wayfinding strategy so as to improve both the staff and student experience.

In support of our MSc Mountain Medicine programme in the School of Medicine we require expert teaching in both mountaineering and the safe delivery of clinical care in mountain environments. This programme combines medical and mountaineering training in a highly practical fashion, with much of the course content being delivered in mountainous terrain both in the UK and abroad. We bring in medical expertise from a range of clinicians from across the UK. Alongside this we are using qualified mountain guides who come in to ensure both safety (for university staff and students) and deliver training from their specialist mountaineering expertise. We do not hold expertise in either of these elements in-house. The guides are engaged on a day-by-day basis. Guides are required for approximately 84 guide days per year. We are also in need of engaging a "Lead Guide" who will provide advice and input to the planning and organisation of the programme. This lead guide will also need to be engaged from time to time on a day-by-day basis "just as a guide". The lead guide is required for approximately 100 hours per year. Primarily on University Square, Foster Square, St. Peter's Square, at our Student Accommodation sites and potentially at other campuses and locations. Marquees and other temporary demountable structures (TDS) have been used for a variety of functions by our Events Team and Accommodation Team over recent years. Event Activities hold in marquees include: - Graduation Celebration events - Freshers Fairs - Social areas for students - Open Days - Lancashire Science Festival - Event Registration - Performances - Dinners - Networking Events - Outdoor Cinema Given the reactive nature of these requirements, ideally, we would be looking for a supplier who is able to service our requirements against short time frames, approx. 3 weeks

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is looking to appoint an experienced and sector-leading Media Buying Agency to manage and support the advertising and audience buying requirements for our wide and varied marketing activities. The requirement is driven by a need and opportunity to raise our profile from among the mass of 'modern' universities located across the UK and improve our awareness amongst our wide and varied target audiences. The core focus of UCLan's media buying is to drive the recruitment of students across our course portfolio. However, media buying will also be required for other areas of University from time to time including to enhance the reputation of the University and the various services it offers. To meet the University's regional, national and international media planning and buying remit our supplier will need to provide wide-ranging expert media consultancy services and must be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in new and emerging digital channels as well as offline advertising.

Automated DNA/RNA quantity/quality analyser for downstream NGS workflow. We need a fully integrated, automated, and easy to use system for the analysis of genomic DNA, Cell-free DNA and other nucleic acids by proprietary small-scale gel electrophoresis as described below. We need high levels of accuracy and reproducibility for the analysis of DNA and RNA samples (for downstream NGS workflow). We require user-self-preventative maintenance rather than engineer facilitated maintenance, to be more cost-effective in running the NGS workflow. The system should offer automated sample processing (with automated loading, electrophoresis, and imaging of the prepared samples, minimizing user intervention and delivering fast analysis) for quick and reliable sample quality control (with sizing, quantity and integrity information automatically presented) for RNA and DNA sample analysis for next generation sequencing, processing about 96 samples at a time. We require a fixed cost for consumables per sample (for five years minimum) and rapid analysis (results should be readily available within 2 minutes/sample).
