Translink is establishing a Framework for the provision of Fencing and Boundary Works to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. Duration: 4 – 8 years Lots: • Lot 1 – Stock Proof Fencing • Lot 2 – Security Fencing The provisional scope of this framework to be undertaken by an Economic Operator includes, but may not be limited to the following: • Supply, delivery and installation of Stock Proof Fencing, Security Fencing, and other types of fencing / boundary management as required • Maintenance and repair of existing and installed fencing / boundaries, including emergency call-outs • De-Vegetation (including tree surgery), establishment of access routes, and other enabling works to facilitate supply, delivery, installation and disposal • Stakeholder / Landowner Engagement • Supply, delivery and installation of signage • Production and implementation of Safe Systems of Work and Provision of Safety-critical staff in line with Northern Ireland Railways standards and Rulebook • Normal and Abnormal shifts (i.e. Night Works / Weekends / Holiday periods) • Provision of as-built records • Removal of existing fencing and waste disposal The above scope list is not exhaustive, and other types of fencing / boundary works in relation to Infrastructure / Permanent Way / Property projects may be commissioned by the Translink under this Framework. Translink owns, operates and maintains the rail network in Northern Ireland comprising circa 300 miles of plain line track and 200 sets of switches and crossings. We wish to establish a multi-Supplier Framework for manufacture and supply of rail to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. Rails required will be CEN56E1 profile in R260, premium and corrosion resistant grades as approved for use on Network Rail. The framework will initially run for 4 years with options to extend up to a maximum of a further 4 years. Translink” is establishing a Single Supplier Framework for the supply of Railway Approved equipment and services to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. The Client’s Infrastructure and Projects Division is responsible for maintenance and capital works to all Railway infrastructure for Northern Ireland Railways Company. The Framework Contract covers the supply and delivery of Railway approved equipment covering Signalling, Telecoms, P-way, Electrical and Plant disciplines. This equipment is specified in industry approved designs produced for Translink during the delivery of its programme of capital works. The Translink stores department maintains a stock level of equipment spares and parts in support of capital projects works and the day to day maintenance of the railway infrastructure. As part of the support the repair, refurbishment and replacement of warranty and non-warranty products supplied under this agreement is required. The Suppliers must be capable of undertaking all elements of the Framework Scope. The Framework will consist of an Active and a Reserve List. The Active List will consist of 1 Supplier, and a Reserve List of 1 Supplier. The duration of this Framework will be a maximum of 8 years in total - a 4-year initial term with the option to extend by a further 48 months. No individual extension will be granted for a period longer than 12 months and any extension will be at the discretion of the Client. Provision of 24/7, 7 days a week staff taxi service. Rail staff may require to move from railway locations to their start point or finish point to meet the business needs. This is primarily outside of normal operating hours of train services or for emergency situations. Translink will require the service provider to assist in the transportation of passengers where there have been issues with the rail services, which may result in passengers being unable to reach their destination. Translink” is establishing a multi-supplier Framework for the supply of rail to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. Translink is a trading name used by any one or more of the companies under the ultimate ownership of the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company (NITHC). Translink wish to appoint a number of Suppliers onto the Framework, split across two Lots. It is anticipated that each Lot will comprise one Primary and two Secondary suppliers. While Suppliers are entitled to submit tenders for both Lots under the Framework, it is not a requirement that Suppliers submit tenders for both Lots. The Framework will be divided into two Lots based on the primary work activities anticipated to be delivered under this Framework as follows: Lot 1 – Standard and Premium Grade Rail and Lot 2 – Corrosion Resistant Rail .Your response must be submitted via the relevant Call for Tender (CfT) on the eTendersNI portal.
