We are seeking provision of between 100 and 150 remote internships per year, hosted by organisations outside the UK. Each internship should be 120 hours in length with hours potentially worked flexibly in line with student needs (NB. the standard 'shape' would be 20 hours a week for six weeks). The students taking part will all be undergraduates - either penultimate year or final year students (all disciplines). We may require capacity to run additional internships for other small cohorts outside of the main delivery period based on University needs. The provider will work with organisations outside of the UK to source 100-150 remote internship opportunities per year. The provider will then match students to these opportunities, providing support and access to learning. The provider will monitor the internships and provide information to the university e.g. attendance metrics, quality metrics on the internship. One provider would deliver all of the services above allowing the university to service 100-150 internships without having to seek out the opportunities and build the relationships with the individual global businesses internally. The University has a requirement to provide support services to our students who have been assessed to need assistance whilst at university to enable them to reach their potential. The Disability Advice team, part of the Student Advice and Guidance team within the Division for Student Experience at the University of Sussex, provide disabled students with personalised study support to enable them to reach their potential at university. Working as part of a wider network, we offer timely, accurate and confidential information, advice, guidance and resources to remove barriers to learning. We are seeking to establish an agreement with a suitable preferred supplier who can provide a high-quality fully managed service for Band 1 & 2 Non-Medical Helper (NMH) support for students studying at the University of Sussex for the academic year 2023-24 onwards. All providers must comply with the IR35 regulations as they apply to the University and ensure all workers are paid under a PAYE system with tax and national insurance deducted at source.
