UKCEH requires a contractor to upgrade the current fume extract fans for the North and South zones within the Chiltern Wing to a direct drive configuration with the aim of reducing energy consumption, maintenance needs and improve airflow efficiency throughout.
In addition to the above process it is also a requirement to be replace the 12 number Controlled Temperature rooms (CT) fan motors to a direct drive configuration to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance time.
