UK Power Networks intends to conduct a procurement event for the provision of Conveyancing Services. The work will be focused on the operational property requirements of the Distribution Network Operators ("DNOs") which are licensed under the Electricity Act 1989 to run the electricity distribution networks in London, South East and Eastern England. The relevant DNOs are known as London Power Networks plc, South Eastern Power Networks plc and Eastern Power Networks plc, all being subsidiaries of UK Power Networks Holdings Limited. The main types of matters upon which instructions will be issued are: a) the transfer of freehold sites for use as electricity substations; b) the taking of leases of electricity substations; c) the taking of deeds of grant of easements in relation to electric lines and other plant; d) surrenders and variations of leases e) dealing with opposed S25 Notices; and f) ancillary agreements, for example agreements for lease, relocation agreements etc. Instructions will be issued by surveyors within the UK Power Networks Operational Property and Consents team who are based in the different regions where the DNOs operate. Instructions will be issued in a standard format using an Acquisition of Property ("AOP") form. It is expected that the firms will have a portal set up on their websites to which instructions can be sent and regular updates of progress will be posted. Instructions should be acknowledged, and confirmation of the relevant fee earner notified within 24 hours of receipt of the instructions. Firms will be required to use the standard draft documents which have been devised by the DNOs for use in the relevant areas. The standard documents will be available via a website set up by UKPN and firms will be required to download the relevant document and follow the guidelines issued from time to time by UKPN in relation to the use of the website. Attendance at regular meetings with the in-house legal team at UKPN with other panel firms will be required in order to discuss processes and any changes to standard documents and legal developments which are of mutual interest. Firms will be expected to provide a lead partner and fee earners with different ranges of experience for the work and to maintain the teams dealing with matters so far as possible and only to make changes to the team members with the approval of the DNOs. The number of new matters within this area is approximately 50 per month split across the three UK Power Networks DNOs by EPN - 24 LPN - 14 SPN - 12

Reference checking is an essential service for UK Power Networks to ensure that all potential employees have the work history stated in their CV's and are therefore fully equipped with the relevant knowledge and experience to undertake their role(s). Referencing is purely to check on education and work history and does not require any personal opinions to be shared and as such is in line with UK Power Networks vision to be a respected and trusted corporate citizen. In addition, there is a requirement to DBS check a defined number of employees within the Organisation which is currently c 2950 employees. This is broken down into; • Category 1- 2173 employees every 3 years, and • Category 2- 777 employees every 5 years The same basic DBS is required above. The scope of requirement for water and wastewater services will cover the circa 350 properties and sites within UKPN distribution network areas that have a water connection.

UK Power Networks (UKPN) intends to conduct a procurement event for the provision of Planning Consultancy. This will be split into 4 x Lots as follows. High-level detail as follows: Lot 1: Planning Services and Support What services shall be provided: The scope of the contract will cover services that allow UKPN the ability and the capacity to fulfil any statutory planning requirements under the Town & Country Planning Act 1990, General Permitted Development Order 2015 & Planning Act 2008 (NSIP), and any other relevant legislation across the company operational estate. Lot 2: Biodiversity Net Gain Support and Unit Reservation What services shall be provided: The contract will cover services that will allow UKPN the ability and the capacity to fulfil their requirements as may be set out under the Town & Country Planning Act 1990, the Environment Act 2021 and any other relevant legislation across the company's operational estate. This may include but is not limited to: • Advice in relation to achieving BNG requirements in relation to planning applications; • Representing UKPN's interests at a local and national policy level in relation to future amendments to the BNG legislation (e.g. amendments to the exemptions regulations, local BNG policy targets etc); • Supporting the planning application process to confirm and ensure BNG delivery; • Identification and management of purchase of 3rd party biodiversity units; and • Support on UKPN's BNG strategy (both in relation planning applications and OFGEM commitments). Lot 3: Highways/Transport Services and Support What services shall be provided: The contract will cover services that will allow UKPN the ability and the capacity to fulfil their requirements as may be set out under the Town & Country Planning Act 1990, the Highways Act 1980 and any other relevant legislation across the company's operational estate. This may include but is not limited to: • Production of Transport Assessments/Statements; • General advice on the highways/transport impacts of proposed development or construction activities; • Production and co-ordination of Construction Traffic Management Plans to support planning applications; • Management of S278 application process; • Production of technical and civil drawings in accordance with highways specifications to support S278 applications. UK Power Networks operates a Supported Studies programme for the employees providing an opportunity for them to develop the skills and knowledge required for career development. Our Need: We are conducting preliminary market engagement to understand experiences of delivering training to the electricity distribution networks. The purpose of the preliminary questions is help us gain market insight to shape the subsequent tender process, refining our requirements, identifying best practice and evaluation methods. By incorporating supplier feedback, UK Power Networks aims to create a more informed, competitive, and effective tender process that leads to the successful implementation of the training package.

UK Power Networks (Operations) Limited ("UK Power Networks") is running a preliminary market engagement exercise on behalf of the regulated electricity distribution businesses owned by London Power Networks plc, Eastern Power Networks plc and South Eastern Power Networks plc. Additionally this exercise is made for the benefit of UK Power Networks Holdings Limited's group companies. We are seeking to hear from providers of Land Referencing and Due Diligence Platforms / Solutions. Our high-level requirement is a platform / system for procuring land registry searches easily and quickly to understand ownership of land and restrictions, planning permissions as well as monitoring our ownership and interests. Following completion of this exercise we will conduct a review of the responses received which will potentially result in us refining our requirements and/or developing our procurement strategy.
