The force is looking to procure a new applicant tracking system with a view to building upon our current recruitment processes using the latest developments in ATS to provide the best possible journey to our candidates. Northumbria Police has identified an area of improvement regarding managing and analysing the growing volume and complexity of digital evidence in criminal investigations. Current capabilities, particularly in reviewing mobile phone downloads, are limited and hinder the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations. This RFI outlines the need for improved software solutions to address these challenges and ensure the Force maintains high standards of investigative quality and public trust.

Invitation to Pre-Market Engagement (PME): Provision of Catering Services. Northumbria Police (the Force) are looking to offer an on-site cafe provision at the new proposed Force Headquarters situated within the North-East. The cafe will provide daily breakfast, lunch, coffee / tea and snack services to our staff and visitors and will be open during standard office hours. The Force are seeking to engage with the market ahead of a potential procurement exercise for the provision of catering services at the HQ site. The pre-market engagement aims to: - Understand current market capabilities and innovations, - Explore potential delivery models and service options, and - Explore emergency feeding and out of hours vending opportunities. We welcome input from suppliers of all sizes who can offer high-quality, sustainable, and cost-efficient catering solutions tailored to our operational needs. Commercial details are to be discussed at engagement meetings. The Force will be conducting engagement meetings with suppliers W/C 12th January 2026 to discuss potential requirements and respond to any queries in relation to the Contract. Northumbria Police (the 'force') invites to participate in a request for information (RFI). This market engagement is focused on assessing Fire Retardant Hi-Vis Tabard offerings available to the force. The outcome of the RFI process will help us determine our procurement strategy moving forward. The force intends to procure an agreement for the provision of Fire Retardant Hi-Vis Tabards, to ensure officers are provided with the correct uniform/kit options to assist with operational requirements. Following the conclusion of the RFI process, the responses received will be reviewed to ascertain the best procurement route forward before proceeding through our internal governance process. Northumbria Police has recognised an area of improvement relating to the current solution used by the Fixed Penalty Unit for ticket and traffic management and digital data storage. The Force's long-term vision is to eradicate back and forth postage to communicate with members of the public regarding road traffic offences. This RFI outlines the aspirations of the force to to have a digital portal that allows two-way communication between the force and members of the public to deliver efficiencies, cost savings, allow the Force to manage increasing demand and increase income generation.

Northumbria Police currently rely on a mixture of traditional, manually driven processes to obtain medical evidence-primarily injury pro formas, written medical statements, and hospital records-following incidents where victims require clinical assessment. Northumbria Police aspires to have a single standardised format or centralised system for requesting, tracking, receiving, or storing medical evidence.

The works will be conducted at the old Dog and Cat Shelter on Claremont Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne. There is a significant slope/change of height on the site which varies by approximately 3 metres and the project looks to level. The site currently houses the old buildings within which there are some signs of asbestos present. There are coal seams beneath the site with a potential for below ground grouting to be conducted. The scope of works for this project includes, but is not limited to the following: • Demolition of existing dog kennel buildings, • Levelling of site, • New build of two kennel blocks, • 1 single storey kennel block and 1 two-storey block housing administration/supporting facilities on the first floor, • Landscaping works; and • Large area fenced and landscaped to provide exercise area for dogs on Hunters Moor.
