As a part of futureproofing and improving the tank overfill protection at Campbeltown, it is required to replace the tank-side receipt manual gate valve with an actuated valve & tank-side issue manual gate valve with new like for like valve, replace the 6" and 3" tank-side valves, install new PRV's and complete some platform modification works to enhance the practicality of operating the asset. The scope of service for the Design Phase includes review of the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) as developed and supplied by OPA, and the proposal and submission of any recommendations that the Consultant feels necessary to meet the required standards and specifications in design or improve the efficiency of the Construction Phase. The Oil fuel depot at Loch Ewe was built during the 1960s and has ageing assets. The firemain is one of these assets and it has a leak on a 6" branch on a section on the jetty. Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) site consists of two caverns (approx. 500,000m3 total volume) situated 1km from the main site. These two caverns T171 & T175 contain around 2500-3000m3 of crude oil and are rented from a local company. There is a requirement to remove the crude oil from CoGH and return the caverns back to the landlords to reduce the financial requirements of the OPA. Whilst CoGH is not a CoMAH establishment due to the volume of product stored, all standards, procedures and safety management processes are to reflect Relevant Good Practice.
