The SEND Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) is a statutory service jointly funded by Wakefield Council and Wakefield Integrated Care Board. The service is available to children/young people and the parents/carers of a child or a young person, who have, or may have, Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25 years who are living within the Wakefield District.
The contract will run for an initial period of 4 years, commencing in April 2026 up to March 2030 with the option to extend for up to 24 months.
The estimated annual contract value, during the initial period, is £231,500.00

Wakefield Council is looking to commission Personal Care and Wellbeing Support Services at Frickley Mews Extra Care Scheme. The aim of this service is to support individuals to live as independently as possible through the provision of a dedicated, skilled on-site team of staff available 24/7, 365 days a year.
The contract will run for an initial period of 2 years, starting 1st May 2026 until 30th April 2028, with the option to extend for a further 2 years up to 30th April 2030.

The Service will provide independent, impartial and confidential mediation and dispute resolution advice and support in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015 whilst also considering the DfE guidance within the SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan.
The contract will commence on the 1st April 2026 for a period of 5 years with the option extend for a futher 5 years.
The estimated contract value, including extensions, is £500,000.

Wakefield Council operate 2 Crematoria, at Wakefield and Pontefract, and run and maintain 19 Cemeteries across the district. The Council's Bereavement Services currently undertake around 3500 cremations and 850 burials (both full burials and cremated remains interments) per annum. As part of this role the Council operates an electronic system for the booking of cremations and burials, including an online booking system for Funeral Directors, and has a legal obligation to maintain electronic burial and cremation Registers. Memorials sales are also undertaken, and Bereavement Services is also responsible for the inspection, testing and recording of all memorials contained within their cemeteries and ensuring that they are all maintained in a safe condition. The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 5 years from the agreed go-live date (with a preceding implementation period being specified in the contract). After the initial period, the contract could continue for up to a maximum of 5 further years. This will be for a 2-year optional extension period, followed by a further 2-year optional extension and a final one-year extension (5+2+2+1).
