The works are the installation at Clacton on Sea, Essex of an anchored sheet pile wall, anchors designed by the contractor, excavation to form a platform to create an area for siting of beach huts, the installation of a concrete slab to that area, filling to the rear of the sheet pile wall to create a stable slope, along with drainage and other ancillary works. The works being necessary following the failure of the Cliff Top path in the area opposite Russell Road and slip failure of the cliff face in the area opposite York Road and Cliff Road. The area between York Road and Cliff Road being considered as being an area of high risk of cliff slope failure occurring in the reasonably short term future.

Tendring District Council and Colchester Borough Council in partnership with Essex County Council (the Councils) seek to appoint consultants to undertake an Economic and Employment Study to inform the preparation of the emerging Tendring Colchester Borders Garden Community Development Plan Document (DPD). The study will:
• advise the Councils of the potential means of maximising the positive economic and employment generation opportunities of the Garden Community development
• include analysis and options for location, format and potential end-users of the 25 hectares of employment allocation envisaged as part of the development
• take into account the long-term nature of the development and the potential for innovation and change over the period of construction
• consider the wider objectives of the Garden Community, including the Garden Community Principles and the aspirations to create one new job per household, promote innovation and quality, achieve considerable 'modal shift' in favour of sustainable transport solutions and the need to create a vibrant local economy based on realistic market principles

Tendring District Council oversees the running of the Princes Theatre and is looking for a company to submit a quotation for the facilitation and provision of a professional pantomime for years 2024/25, 2025/26, 2026/27.\r

Initially the Princes Theatre hosted amateur pantomime productions until a decision was reached in 2009 to trial a professional company. Since then the annual pantomime at the Princes Theatre has become a firm favourite with local audiences and has become a Christmas tradition for families both in and out of the district.\r
